Halloween has come and gone and it’s time to start celebrating the holidays. Ok, well, Lifetime (and some of its competitors) began decking their lineups with new Christmas movies before Oct. 30 — but now it’s really time to start making the season bright.
See below for Lifetime’s full 2020 “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” slate of holiday movies, which includes 30 different original films this year. Two notable projects on the list are “A Christmas Setup,” which marks the cable channel’s first-ever holiday movie to feature a gay couple as the leads, and “A Sugar & Spice Holiday,” Lifetime’s first holiday film led by an Asian cast.

Snow Beast is a sasquatch-ploitation film that was released on DVD October 4th. This b-movie styled film also has a date with destiny January, 2012 when the film will have a television premiere on the SyFy Network. This film stars John Schneider and Jason London in a creature feature flick that involves a bear hugging Yeti and characters wandering about the woods oblivious to this white haired menace. Truly comedic, Snow Beast has to be seen to enjoy all the humour housed within.
Several researchers head up to Canada to complete their study on lynxes. Something strange is afoot however as all of the animals in the area have begun to disappear, including people. Those hiking in the woods or stopping for a piddle are soon consumed by a seven foot animal that looks straight out of Empire Strikes Back (a wampa). Did they borrow the same suit?...

Snow Beast, shot in 2011, and not to be confused with the 1977 TV movie Snowbeast which starred Bo Svenson and Yvette Mimieux, and is set in the same locale (a snowy hillside) and featuring almost exactly the same plot, stars Smallville‘s John Schneider as wildlife researcher Jim who, along with his team head up to the mountains every year to study the Canadian Lynx. Only this year things are a little different – for one Jim has to take his rebelling 16 year-old daughter, Emmy (Chuchran), with him and two, all the lynx are missing. As Jim and his team, along with a local forest ranger played by a sweaty-looking Jason London, try to find out why, something stalks them, a predator, a hunter, a Snowbeast! (and yes I am...

We here at Dread Central love Sasquatchploitation. We love any movie that features a man in a rubber monster suit. That’s probably why a movie like Snow Beast leaves us giddy. John Schneider vs. an Abominable Snowman…what’s not to love?
Jim (John Schneider, “Dukes of Hazzard”) and his research team study the Canadian lynx every year. This year he has to take his rebelling 16-year-old daughter, Emmy (Danielle Chuchran, You’re So Cupid!), with him. But the lynx are missing. As Jim and his team--with the help of a local ranger (Jason London, Dazed and Confused)--try to find out why, something stalks them: a predator no prey can escape.
SunWorld Pictures has slotted filmmaker Brian Brough’s PG-13 foray into killer Yeti territory for an October 4th release date.
Take a gander at the Snow Beast trailer below if you need a good reason to mark your calendar.

Brian Brough is in post-production on what sound to be a Yeti project called Snow Beast . Low budget creature feature staples John Schneider and Jason London star in this tale of a massive, bloodthirsty snow creature that strikes terror in a remote Canadian town when it starts slaughtering of animals and townsfolk. When a group of scientists investigate with the help of a local policeman, they are trapped by a terrible blizzard and must face off against the cold blooded beast! Danielle Chuchran also stars. Brittany Wiscombe penned the script; she also wrote Brough's previous directing effort Scents and Sensibility . Snow Beast , I'm sure we'll see you on SyFy soon!

There was a 1977 TV movie called Snowbeast about a killer Yeti terrorizing a Colorado ski resort. You barely saw the monster at all. Now there's a new killer Yeti movie called Snow Beast, starring John Schneider and Jason London, and you'll see 100 times more monster in this trailer than in all of that Seventies flick.
