Miles Fisher (Final Destination 5) and Mike Castle will topline the Comedy Central pilot Bad Advice From My Brother, lifting the contingency on the project. Reggie Watts co-stars in the project, based on Jordan Pope Roush’s blog of the same name, which follows the adventures of two brothers — Jason (Fisher), the older, not necessarily wiser brother who has spent most of his post-college life chasing women and the almighty dollar on Wall Street, and Ben (Castle), his younger brother who wants to follow in his footsteps — and their neighbor Reggie (Watts). When Ben moves in, Jason sees this as an opportunity to reflect on his mistakes and steer Ben onto an opposite path. Unfortunately for Ben, Jason’s advice is usually bad and creates more problems than solutions. Roush wrote the script and is executive producing with showrunner Brad Copeland, Chris Koch, who will direct, and Trevor Engelson. Tony Hernandez co-exec produces,...

Though he was just looking for a regular day at the gym, Hugh Jackman got a little more than that on Saturday (April 13) when a woman was arrested for stalking the actor.
According to reports, the “Les Miserables” hunk arrived for his work out at the Gotham Gym in New York City around 8:00 a.m. and began his routine.
A woman identified as Katherine Thurston started following the Australian native while crying and carrying an electric razor.
The police were called and the suspect was apprehended after she slipped outside. Spokespersons for Mr. Jackman have yet comment, though trainer Mike Castle told reporters that Hugh “had the situation under control.”...

“Don’t Answer the Phone!” (1980) Film Review
Directed By: Robert Hammer
Written By: Michael D. Castle & Robert Hammer
Starring: James Westmoreland (Lieutenant Chris McCabe), Ben Frank (Sergeant Hatcher), Flo Lawrence (Doctor Lindsay Gale), Nicholas Worth (Kirk Smith),
I honestly didn’t know what to expect by watching another movie that has the infamous “Don’t [do this]” in the title. I was pleasantly surprised; despite its imperfections, it was better than I thought it was going to be. I tend to be a lover of these type movies so I can certainly understand the dislike. The movie was first released on VHS by Media Home Entertainment and released several years ago on DVD. Don't Answer the Phone! reminded me of another movie that came out the same year: “Maniac.”
The plot revolves around an ex-Vietnam vet and current photographer who goes around strangling women. The killer Kirk...

Christine O’Donnell made it all the way to the end of a 10-minute segment with Today Show’s Savannah Guthrie this morning and addressed the infamous “walk-off” interview she did with CNN’s Piers Morgan on Tuesday night.
The former Delaware Senatorial candidate (and current book author) reiterated that she had no problem answering his questions generally, but she thought Morgan was “berating” her with a line of questioning she labeled as “borderline sexual harassment.” She suggested that if Bill Clinton were a guest, there’s no way Morgan would have asked about Monica Lewinsky or whether he still has a “fascination” with cigars.

The birther craziness, along with the innuendo about Obama's grades and the purging of dissenters, revealed a deep Gop divide that risks undermining the party going into 2012, says Howard Kurtz.
The regular Tuesday meeting of the House Republican caucus grew heated last month when some of the more seasoned lawmakers said it was time to "shut up," as one put it, about the birther issue.

The caucus has 85 new members, more than 30 of whom are new to elective office- "the kamikazes," they are privately called-and some took strong exception to being urged not to talk about President Obama's birth certificate. "Well, I don't think he was born in this country," one freshman snapped.
The birther nonsense seems especially pointless-and corrosive-when one considers that Obama was planning the helicopter raid that would kill Osama bin Laden days later,...

In some races, there are large gaps in the number of friends various competitors have. Is that an indicator of how they'll do at the polls?
In Nevada, Republican challenger Sharron Angle is not only leading Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in the polls, she’s also far ahead on the social nets. When we started writing this story, Angle’s Facebook page had 104,059 fans vs. a mere 14,348 for Reid. Angle is also leading when it comes to voter sentiment--by four points, according to the latest Rasmussen poll. And Facebook's public policy team says that Angle is piling on new supporters at a faster rate than Reid. In the last two weeks, Angle’s Facebook fan base grew by 10,500, vs. just 921 for Reid.
So does that mean Angle will knock Reid out of the Senate on election day next Tuesday? It’s anyone’s guess. We asked Facebook, and as far as they know,...

Christine O'Donnell is the recent surprise winner of the Delaware state Republican primary. Ms. O'Donnell is a member of the Tea Party, and was a huge underdog in the race, but she managed to defeat former Governor and nine-term Congressman Mike Castle. But her stunning victory isn't the only surprising thing about her.
Ever since she won the race, Christine has pretty much been constantly in the news, and her name keeps popping up in relation to various odd stories. There was her belief that all masturbation is "sinful." There was her belief that scientists were creating a new type of mouse with a human brain.
And in perhaps the strangest tale of all -- there was O'Donnell's past revelation that she had dabbled in witchcraft. ... But what could possibly come next for the Tea Partier?

Producers at AC 360 had maybe the smartest booking of last night's cable news slate when they had on as guest the former Gop Presidential hopeful and Tea Party coiner Ron Paul to provide context to the so-called "Gop Civil War," brought about by Christine O'Donnell's stunning victory in Delaware. Anderson Cooper cut right to the chase when he asked if there was still room in the Repubican party for a moderate like Mike Castle. Paul contextualized the current political climate "we live in revolutionary times."...

Last night Christine O'Donnell won the Gop Senate primary in Delaware, sending shockwaves throughout the Gop establishment. The Sarah Palin endorsed, Tea Party candidate won a decisive and stunning victory over her opponent Mike Castle has led to lots of infighting within traditionally unified and disciplined Republican base. Earlier today on Fox News, Karl Rove challenged Palin to continue her support of O'Donnell, which was nearly immediately replied with Palin's pledge to "do whatever (she) can do."...

• The Tea Party scored two major upsets in yesterday’s primaries: in Delaware, abstinence counselor (really?) Christine O’Donnell defeated longtime moderate Republican congressman Mike Castle in the Senate primary, and in New York, “mad as hell” millionaire Carl Paladino trounced former congressman Rick Lazio in the gubernatorial primary. [NY Times] • For the first time since the 1930s, more people are voting in Republican primaries than in Democratic ones. [Nyt’s 538 blog] • A Google engineer was fired in July for snooping on underage teens and using private data gleaned from their Google accounts to taunt them. As a liberal-media hack I’m torn: do I applaud France’s commitment to secularism or lament its Islamophobia? [Wall St. Journal] • JetBlue is America’s favorite airline, according to a new survey. Earlier tonight Christine O'Donnell was declared the winner of the Republican Senate primary in Delaware over heavy favorite Mike Castle. Since O'Donnell was viewed as the Tea Party candidate endorsed by Sarah Palin, with little chance of winning in the general election in November, this race had shaped up as a the Gop establishment versus the Tea Party Republicans. Well according to a recent report, it turns out that the establishment -- in this case the Nrsc - won't be funding O'Donnell's campaign.

In what will certainly be described as both a shocking outcome and a sign of the political times, Christine O'Donnell has been declared the winner in the Gop primary in Delaware over the favorite Mike Castle. O'Donnell has been described by many as the "Tea Party" candidate, and has received endorsements from Sarah Palin and Jim DeMint. CNN has just declared her the winner in a party with huge national implications moving forward.

Bieber photo by Daniel Ogren/Flickr.Today, primary day, marks the conclusion of summer’s election season. (*Technically, Hawaii, which is a state, not a subsaharan African nation, has will hold its primary on Saturday.) This morning, races will commence in Delaware, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maryland, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. According to Politico, Delaware is arguably the most important state in the union today, a distinction that may not have applied since Delaware was the only state in the union. Representative Mike Castle faces the Tea Party–aligned Christine O’Donnell. Castle, Delaware’s former governor, has been an important figure in the state since the 60s, but O’Donnell’s held our interest since August 24, when the Tea Party’s Joe Miller, also beneficiary of Palinmania, defeated incumbent Lisa Murkowski in the Alaska’s Republican senatorial primary. Is O’Donnell the lower-48’s answer to Miller?...

If you are looking for a good narrative to follow tonight's primary elections, look no further than Delaware, where the Sarah Palin endorsed Tea Party candidate Christine O'Donnell is now up in the polls over the Gop-establishment candidate Mike Castle. Charles Krauthammer called Palin's endorsement of O'Donnell "destructive and capricious." This is appears to be where the rubber meets the road in the fight for the future of conservatives.

Yep, the crazies are at it again. They’re out there in the hinterlands, spinning their conspiracy theories, stoking their righteous indignation. Health care? Jobs? Energy? No time for all that. They’re too busy raising questions about whether President Obama is a natural-born American citizen—and thus qualified to be president—in the face of overwhelming evidence that he is (and not a single shred of anything that he’s not). Recently, their rage was on full display at a Delaware townhall meeting hosted by Republican Rep. Mike Castle. When a questioner launched into rabid disquisition about Obama’s birthplace, Castle gamely said he believed the president was, in fact, an American. The crowd turned on him with a vengeance, launching into frenzied chants of “Prove it! Prove it! Prove it!” These are not people to be reasoned with, by God. Ever since Obama dared declare himself a candidate...
