This year, the Peruvian photographer—who in September will auction a selection of his work to benefit the Mate Museum of Peru—celebrates 36 years of his career. Princess Kate's casual countryside photo shoot for British Vogue's centenary issue is making waves - and mainly because the royal appeared without frills. The images, taken in Norfolk's English countryside, feature the Duchess in a simple striped t-shirt, among other things, and capture what the magazine called her "great sense of humor." Kate's images are on display at the National Portrait Gallery in the Vogue 100: A Century of Style exhibit, and the full shoot can be seen in the magazine's June issue, on sale Thursday, May 5. The Duchess of Cambridge was photographed in the Norfolk, England countryside, and her wardrobe was hand-picked by fashion director Lucinda Chambers and editor-in-chief Alexandra Shulman.
Of the project, Shulman gushed, “It’s a huge honor and incredibly exciting for us to have Hrh The Duchess of Cambridge featuring on the cover of British Vogue and as part of our centenary issue. Miss G: The Private World of Greta Garbo, curated by fashion journalist and author Bronwyn Cosgrave and jewellery designer Julia Muggenburg, features some surprising items. A vibrantly patterned yoga onesie with matching headband represents Garbo's athletic side. "She was very healthy," says Cosgrave. "She had to maintain her body, so she did yoga.
