Was appointed to the Canadian Senate on August 2, 2005. She will sit as
a member of the Conservative Party caucus.
Was elected as Member of Parliament for the Quebec riding of
Saint-Hyacinthe-Bagot in 1984 as a Progressive Conservative candidate.
She was re-elected in 1988, but defeated in her bid for a third term in
1993.
