The output deal gives Abe North American Blu-ray and DVD distribution rights to 36 titles, 12 per year, from Gravitas Ventures through 2017. Among the first releases included in the agreement are acclaimed films "Manny," a Manny Pacquiao documentary, "Always Woodstock," starring Ryan Guzman, Brittany Snow and Katey Sagal, and "Lovesick," starring Matt LeBlanc, Ali Larter and Chevy Chase.

The 38-year-old mother of 14 was released on her own recognizance after being arraigned in Los Angeles County Superior Court on three counts of welfare fraud, CBS News reported.

Anchor Bay announced today that it is upping Julie Cartwright to executive vice president worldwide marketing effectively immediately. The former Senior VP will oversee the marketing for all of Anchor Bay’s releases from the distributor’s film division and Starz Original series as well from The Weinstein Company, RADiUS Films and international programming sourced from the company’s Canadian, Australian and UK divisions. “Julie has both an incredible creative prowess and a keen understanding of the home entertainment category with its evolving physical and digital models,” said Anchor Bay Entertainment president Bill Clark in a statement. “She has been a key member of the Abe senior management team, delivering significant positive impact as an executive. According to Deadline, Anchor Bay Films has acquired Us rights to The Lords of Salem with a minimum guarantee bid of around $1.5 million. Other companies that were in the running included Image Entertainment, Millennium Entertainment, and Open Road Films.
There are no details on how or when the film will be released, but unless Anchor Bay is really looking to get this in front of audiences around Halloween, we don’t expect to see it until next year. Traditionally, Anchor Bay is known for running very limited theatrical releases followed by a Blu-ray/DVD/VOD release right after. Anchor Bay has inked a deal to distribute The Amazing Adventures of the Living Corpse in English speaking territories.
The film is an animated motion picture based on the same name of the popular comic book.

A remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night was recently announced and will be released later this year. Titled Silent Night, the film will be directed by Steven C. Miller (The Aggression Scale) and is set to star Malcolm McDowell, Jamie King, Donal Logue, Jamie Kennedy, Brendan Fehr, Lisa Marie, and Ellen Wong.

Like it or not, Silent Night the remake is coming down your chimney this coming holiday season. Coined as a "loose remake of the controversial 1984 horror sensation Silent Night, Deadly Night", Silent Night will star actor Malcolm McDowell.
Anchor Bay Films has picked up the film for the U.S. and Inferno International’s new genre label Ember Productions will sell internationally.
