Fans have eagerly awaited House of the Dragon season two for the last year and a half. Numerous prominent TV series encountered significant production delays due to Writers’ Guild and SAG-AFTRA strikes. However, the Game of Thrones spinoff continued filming throughout the previous summer.

After building its characters’ relationships in season one, season two of HBO’s House of the Dragon will see its leads flung across Westeros — much to the disappointment of its close-knit cast.
The second season of the Game of Thrones prequel will continue to chronicle the House Targaryen civil war, as Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy), Prince Daemon (Matt Smith) and their Dragonstone forces face off against Alicent (Olivia Cooke) and her children for claim of the Iron Throne. But that means the stars were often off shooting their own individual storylines this year, rather than group scenes together.
At the show’s New York premiere on Monday, D’Arcy admitted filming without Smith and Cooke was “kind of lonely” but noted, “There’s so many beautiful actors on the show, it’s an ever-mutating thing. Certainly, I think it’ll make the active viewership kind of more exciting because there are so...

We have some exciting news to share about the upcoming season! Wiki of Thrones has received information that two major characters are set to return in House of the Dragon season 2: King Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine) and Ser Harrold Westerling (Graham McTavish). A tip by our source has revealed this information, and rest assured, we can gear up to see the two characters make their comeback.
Paddy Considine to return in House of the Dragon Season 2?

You also might be wondering how the show can bring a man back from the dead. Well, anything can happen in George R.R. Martin’s world since he even made Jon Snow come back to life. But we don’t think anything of this sort will happen in House of the Dragon Season 2.
Our speculation is that Paddy Considine aka King Viserys is returning to the show in a flashback but...

On “House of the Dragon,” HBO’s fantasy epic that takes place two centuries before “Game of Thrones,” Matt Smith plays Daemon, a warrior prince who exists among fire-breathing reptiles and palace intrigue. But if his character were ever to leap deeper into the supernatural, Smith has some ideas about where he could go. “I think Daemon would make a really good vampire,” he says. “I can imagine him wandering the earth alone for all eternity.”
He certainly has the coloring: Pallid and platinum-blonde, Daemon looks as if he could have arrived in the forbidding and dark world of Westeros all the way from Transylvania. But he might be too hotblooded to play the vampire. And “House of the Dragon” — a prequel to the Emmy-gobbling, earth-shattering hit “Game of Thrones,” set during the reign of the incestuous Targaryen dynasty — is unlikely to pivot into creature horror.

Ready, steady, go! But be warned, this article contains spoilers for "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga."
Long before 2015's "Mad Max: Fury Road" and its particular brand of vehicular mayhem peeled into theaters, promptly changing the action genre forever, director and mastermind George Miller had already mapped out an origin story for what would turn out to be the blockbuster's scene-stealing star: Charlize Theron's Imperator Furiosa. It only took the better part of a decade to finally see that vision realized on the big screen with this year's utterly epic "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga," but the lengthy hiatus wasn't the biggest obstacle standing in Miller's way. Since the prequel was always meant to depict the earlier years of Furiosa's life, a new actor would have to face the daunting — if not impossible — challenge of stepping into Theron's shoes.

We are just a few weeks away from the first episode of House of the Dragon Season 2. The period fantasy drama is a prequel to Game of Thrones (2011-2019). The HBO series was created by George Rr Martin and Ryan Condal and is based on Martin’s Fire and Blood book. The story takes place 200 years before the events of GoT.
House of The Dragon stars Matt Smith, Paddy Considine, Emma D’Arcy, Rhys Ifans, Olivia Cooke, Eve Best, Tom Glynn-Carny, Ewan Mitchell, and others. The first season received a tremendous reaction and ended on a high note as we saw the bloodshed and wars. The season 2 trailers have hinted that things will only get uglier for the show’s characters. With the dragons having so much power this time, it is definitely going to be a fiery season!

Before House of the Dragon season 2 began filming, showrunner Ryan Condal assembled the actors of the Game of Thrones prequel to view a simple slideshow. The subject of this presentation? Dragons, naturally. The dragon riders needed to get acquainted with their bonded beasts, as they’ll never actually meet them in the scaly flesh.
“These poor actors climb up on a saddle but they never interact with the creature they’re supposed to have this close bond with,” Condal says. “If you believe Westerosi historical propaganda, Aegon [II] and Sunfyre famously had the closest bond between dragon and human in history. It’s important for Tom Glynn-Carney as an actor to know what Sunfyre looks like.”

House of the Dragon was without a doubt the finest show to premiere in 2022, and Paddy Considine was its shining star. Even in George R. R. Martin‘s original writing, Fire & Blood, Viserys Targaryen lacked depth until Considine brought it to life on screen. And even after his departure from the show, Paddy Considine is lighting up fans’ faces with his Iron Throne related interaction with his House of the Dragon co-stars while.

On Tuesday, HBO released the full trailer for “House of the Dragon” Season 2, which premieres June 16.
The eight-episode second season of the “Game of Thrones” prequel finds the Targaryens in a civil war, with the Greens – supporters of Aegon II Targaryn (Tom Glynn-Carney), son of late king Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine) and Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) and the traditional heir – on one side, and the Blacks – partisans of Viserys’ daughter Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy), Viserys’ chosen heir, and her husband/uncle Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) on the other. Both sides claim the Iron Throne, and they will kill their kin to get it.
The trailer previews the combination of political strategy, intense action, and interpersonal backstabbing that’s the “Game of Thrones” franchise’s signature. On the political side, there’s a small council meeting where Aegon forcefully rejects the idea of dignity in favor of revenge. On the action side,...

“House of the Dragon” Season 2 is about to soar onto screens soon.
After Season 2 was first unveiled at Ccxp in Sao Paolo in December 2023 with a teaser, and later released viral dueling trailers, the season of the dragon is almost upon audiences. Season 2 will not have a time jump like in Season 1, and instead solely focus on former besties turned step-family Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and Alicent (Olivia Cooke) as they both battle for the Iron Throne.
Per the official synopsis, after the death of King Viserys I (Paddy Considine), an undeniable rift has grown between his daughter Rhaenyra (D’Arcy) and wife Alicent (Cooke), after their close friendship as teenagers. A rift that’s now a full-blown civil war.
The series is based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” and is set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones.”

House of the Dragon was given an almost impossible task. Game of Thrones is considered a cultural phenomenon; it has raised the bar for quality and changed the way TV series are produced. However, all fans know that the first rule of this fandom is not to talk about the latest seasons.
The series' controversial finale, which was not supported by the original source material, undermined the audience's trust in the universe. It took a lot of skill and effort to fish something worthwhile out of the ashes and ruins that Benioff and Weiss left behind.
The first promotional footage of the series left conflicting impressions, and casting decisions raised questions. Some fans awaited House of the Dragon armed with skepticism, bias, and a willingness to bury the project under tons of criticism. But the first episode came out, and for many, skepticism gave way to surprise and then excitement.

Although Kit Harington attracted all eyes on him with his prolific performance since the beginning of Game of Thrones, people can’t forget one House Stark character who set the tone for the show’s notorious unpredictability. It’s none other than the actor behind the role of Eddard “Ned” Stark, Sean Bean, who left quite an impression on the series and its fans.

2014’s Pride, from director Matthew Warchus, is heading back into cinemas in the UK this June: more details here.
Comfortably one of the best British films of the 2010s is the wonderful Pride, an uproariously funny and really moving ensemble film set in the 1980s. Led by George MacKay, Andrew Scott, Ben Schnetzer, Faye Marsay, Dominic West, Imelda Staunton, a sex toy, Paddy Considine, Bill Nighy and Freddie Fox, it felt like a movie out of nowhere when it first arrived.
Telling the story of the miner’s strike in the UK in the 1980s, and the efforts of a bunch of lesbian and gay activists to support them, it still remains something of a one-off. Penned by Stephen Beresford and directed by Matthew Warchus, the modestly-budgeted film hardly set the box office alight on its initial release, but it’s earned a rich and deserved reputation since for a film that’s well,...

House of the Dragon dropped two dueling trailers for its season 2 making the show’s intention clear. Just like how the Marvel fandom rallied behind Team Captain America and Team Iron Man during the release of Captain America: Civil War, HoTD wants the fans to pick sides. The two sides in this vicious Targaryen Civil War are Rhaenyra Targaryen’s team black and Alicent Hightower’s team green. However, fans have yet to meet some of the members of these feuding factions.

The first spin-off to Game Thrones, House of the Dragon, which debuted in 2022, was a major success for the IP, and its second season is slated to premiere sometime this summer. But the series, helmed by showrunner Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik, wasn’t completely faithful to George R.R. Martin’s works, as the duo took their fair share of creative liberties.
Interestingly, the decision to stray away from the books, especially in King Viserys Targaryen’s case, improved upon the book, which left Martin wishing he’d written the character that way in the books.

Forget what that other show said — winter is over, and things are heating up. The trailer trailers for Season 2 of “House of the Dragon” is here to prepare fans for a June 16 premiere, nearly two years after the first season debuted on HBO.
HBO on Thursday revealed two trailers for the second season, one for each side of the Targaryen Civil War. Are you Team Green or Team Black?
“House of the Dragon” is just one of the countless projects delayed by 2023’s Hollywood strikes, but it also happens to be a production behemoth that requires months of postproduction and editing even under ideal circumstances. Season 2 was first announced at Ccxp in Sao Paolo in December of 2023 with a teaser trailer.
Following the death of King Viserys I (Paddy Considine), an undeniable rift has grown between his daughter Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and wife Alicent (Olivia Cooke), after their close friendship as teenagers.

A vengeful war begins in HBO‘s House of the Dragon Season 2 trailer, and the series is making viewers pick a side between the Blacks (House Targaryen) and the Greens (House Hightower). There are two dueling trailers, one for each house that favors their sides’ perspectives in this familial war. The trailers reveal the official House of the Dragon Season 2 release date: Sunday, June 16. Premiering this June, House of the Dragon is based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood. The series, set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen, now led by Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) following the slow death of her father, King Viserys (Paddy Considine), at the end of Season 1. There were “errors made in the hours following King Viserys’ death,” the first teaser ominously stated. Indeed, Queen Alicent (Olivia Cooke) incorrectly believed her husband wanted their son, the vicious Aegon...

Season 2 of House of the Dragon will premiere on HBO/Max in June, said Jb Perrette, head of global streaming & games for Warner Bros. Discovery.
Speaking at a media conference Q&a today, he said it’s one of a handful of HBO tentpole series set to contribute to a turnaround at the media giant after a soft period for film and television due in part to the Hollywood strikes last year.
He didn’t give a specific premiere date. HBO and Max content chief Casey Bloys last said in November that the season would be coming in early summer. Warner Bros. Discover CEO David Zaslav confirmed during the February 23 earnings call that Season 2 would premiere in Q2.

Game of Thrones Season 8 ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Game of Thrones had everyone’s attention when it used to stream. The fantasy period drama was full of twists and turns that would startle you in every episode. The series stars Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams, Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and others based on George Rr Martin’s book, A Song of Fire and Ice.
The eighth season left everyone disappointed. The loyal fans were displeased with the conclusions given to Daenerys, Jon Snow, Arya and Bran Stark. The show’s creators, David Benioff & D.B. Weiss, have opened up on what exactly went wrong.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Benioff stated that when one signs a five-year deal with a company, one wants the company to be stable. It will help one be alone and do their work without worrying about it being bought by a phone company.

HBO is returning to Westeros!
The network that made history with Game of Thrones and experienced comparatively moderate success with the spinoff House of the Dragon is now developing a third series based in the medieval fantasy world of author George R.R. Martin.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed this week that HBO has greenlit a project with the reported working title of Aegon's Conquest.
The story of the first Aegon Targaryen will be familiar to diehard GoT fans.
(Although those who watched the first two series more casually can be forgiven if that name no longer rings a bell. There's an awful lot of lore in this franchise!)
Basically, Aegon I is the guy who began the process of uniting the Seven Kingdoms when he made a dragon-back flight from Old Valyria with his sister-wives Rhaenys and Viseyna.
Aptly known as Aegon the Conqueror, this founder of the Targaryen dynasty is frequently name-dropped by other characters,...

The world of Game of Thrones is set to grow again.
Following the successful first season of prequel series House of the Dragon, and the announcement of another prequel in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, HBO has commissioned yet another show set in Westeros’s distant past. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Game of Thrones network is now actively developing a show about Aegon’s Conquest, to be written by The Batman II co-writer Mattson Tomlin.
While the story of Aegon I, creator of the Targaryen royal family’s continent-spanning dynasty, has been bandied about as a potential spinoff option for years, this latest news suggests that HBO is finally ready to commit to it. And at first glance, an Aegon I series makes perfect sense. As evidenced by the flagship series’ strong early seasons and House of the Dragon‘s successful debut, Game of Thrones TV efforts...

If you wondered what Colin Trevorrow was doing post his Jurassic trilogy, the answer probably isn’t what you expected. His next project is a script he’s penned with World collaborator Derek Connolly, plus British comedy duo The Pin, aka Ben Ashenden and Alexander Owen (who made brief appearances in Jurassic World Dominion) – a starry comedy titled Deep Cover. And as far as it looks, there isn’t a dinosaur in sight.
The film revolves around a trio of improv actors who take part in police stings, catching out unaware criminals – but soon they get sucked into London’s criminal underworld thanks to the power of pure persuasion. Those three yes-anders will be played by Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom, and Ted Lasso’s Nick Mohammed – and they’ll be joined in the cast by Sean Bean, Ian McShane, Paddy Considine, and Sonoya Mizuno. That’s a seriously stacked cast.

House Of The Dragon Season 2 Release Date Revealed By Matt Smith ( Photo Credit – Max / YouTube )
The House of the Dragon Season 2 release date might have been spoiled by the show’s star, Matt Smith, in a recent interview. It is set 172 years before the birth of Game of Thrones’ Daenerys. After a successful first season, the fans have been waiting eagerly. Smith plays the role of Daemon Targaryen in the HBO series and is paired with Emma D’Arcy’s character, Rhaenyra Targaryen and the first season ended on a high note with Lucerys Velaryon’s death by Aemond’s Dragon Vhagar.
The first season came out in 2022 and, like Got, has been lauded and appreciated by the audience for the fantastic performances by every actor, especially Paddy Considine as King Viserys. The cinematography, VFX, storyline, and execution were bang on, leaving fans wanting more.

Dead Man’s Shoes and This is England director Shane Meadows used his BAFTA David Lean Lecture to discuss impostor syndrome and Paddy Considine’s improvizational skills.
Talking about his 2013 music doc Stone Roses: Made of Stone, the cult indie film director said: “It’s that impostor syndrome I’ve always had — and I’ve still got it to some degree — that you’re almost like, ‘I’m not deserving of that. How could I take on a concert film?'”
In the event, Made of Stone, which followed the British band The Stone Roses reuniting after 16 years, was released to acclaim — one of several critical triumphs in Meadows’ career.
Meadows said the experience taught him that treating a major production in “those little incremental stages” was key. “It’s like this little acorn that started to blossom, and once you actually realize when you’ve got an amazing team of people,...

It's pretty astounding to think how successful "House of the Dragon" season 1 was despite the incredibly negative legacy of "Game of Thrones." George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal's prequel series has managed to not only match the thrills and the attention "Game of Thrones" got but to even improve upon certain aspects of its predecessor.
"House of the Dragon" takes place nearly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones" and tells the epic story of the Targaryen family and the war of succession over the throne of King Viserys I after he decides to name his daughter Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) heir — a title no woman has ever had in the Seven Kingdoms. "House of the Dragon" suffered a bit from an abundance of time jumps and cast changes in season 1, which luckily shouldn't be a problem in season 2. It also gave us one hell of a performance by Paddy Considine.

House of the Dragon is officially returning to HBO next summer.
The second season of the Game of Thrones spinoff will air in early summer 2024, as long eyed by the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned network.
The news was confirmed by Casey Bloys at an HBO event in New York this morning, where members of the press saw the first trailer for the second season.
The show, which has finished filming and is currently in post-production, was largely able to continue filming during the summer as it has a largely British cast under Equity contracts rather than SAG-AFTRA ones.
Elsewhere, Bloys said that the hope is for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, its latest GoT prequel to start shooting in the spring.
This series was handed a greenlight in April and is based on George R.R. Martin’s Dunk & Egg fantasy novellas. The Game of Thrones...
