Back in 2023, Warner Bros. were gearing up for the release of one of the last movies to come out of the Dceu. The Flash, starring Ezra Miller in the lead, and directed by Andy Muschetti, had a lot hanging on its shoulders. The movie was supposed to be the vessel to reboot the Dceu to give way for James Gunn and Peter Safran’s Dcu.
A still from The Flash (2023)
Though fans weren’t sold on Ezra Miller’s involvement after their various scandals came to light, the reviews coming from the who’s who of Hollywood had them holding on to hope. From Tom Cruise to Stephen King, many celebrities came in defense of the movie, lauding it as one of the best superhero movies ever made. Unfortunately, the movie’s reception was not what anyone had hoped, and The Flash ended up being one ofe the worst features from Dceu.

Loving Adam Sandler means making your peace with the actor's wildly inconsistent output. It's not like The Sandman has ever been a critical darling; even during his rise to superstardom in the '90s, "Happy Gilmore" and "The Wedding Singer" were the only movies of his that you could reasonably call well-reviewed (and that's coming from an ardent "Billy Madison" defender). But the films that he's churned out under his Happy Madison Productions, which was founded in 1999, have been all over the place quality-wise. Even most die-hard Sandlites probably wouldn't go to the mattresses over stinkers like "Jack and Jill" and "Grown Ups 2."
That's only become doubly true since Sandler entered his alliance with Netflix in the 2010s. Sometimes, you end up with little more than "content" for viewers to stream and immediately forget, but you can also get remarkably good stuff like "The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected...

It's been more than 10 years since the world was subjected to the last "Scary Movie" sequel, but as is the case with any famous horror movie villain, it's practically impossible to keep this series down forever. And now Paramount Pictures plans to breathe new life into this particular franchise. The studio will be teaming up with Miramax to resurrect the "Scary Movie" franchise with a brand new installment. Production begins this fall, and the film will be in theaters in 2025.
Variety reports that producer Neal H. Moritz, who is best known for producing the "Fast and Furious" movies for Universal, will be producing this new iteration. Moritz was not directly associated with any of the previous five "Scary Movie" films, but interestingly, he did produce a couple of horror flicks that were parodied in those early versions, including "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "Urban Legend." “It all started with ‘Dancing with the Stars’,” says NFL Hall of Fame player DeMarcus Ware while discussing his latest venture into reality TV. He performed as Koala in Wednesday night’s “Transformers” episode of “The Masked Singer.” “Just getting uncomfortable doing something that you’ve never done before and making it to the end. Then, what really sparked my interest was when I sang “The National Anthem” at the Hall of Fame Game. I was like, ‘Okay, you’ve got a little bit of vocals.'” Watch his exclusive video interview with Gold Derby senior editor Denton Davidson above.
As Koala, DeMarcus sang “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears on “Transformers Night.” Following Lovebird’s elimination, Koala was the second voted out in the episode. Former “The Bachelor” star Colton Underwood knows the symbolism of his being unmasked on a reality show — in this case, “The Masked Singer” — is huge. “You’re obviously protected by a mask, which was symbolic for me in many ways just because I’d worn one my entire life until I wasn’t,” Underwood told Variety. “To put one back on to go on stage and do something that I’ve never done, something I...

Ahead of a jam-packed Summer Olympics schedule, NBC has opted to cancel not one but two Peacock reality shows.
For most TV shows, getting past that first season is usually a good sign for potential staying power. According to Statista, a little over 12% of all shows on streaming services have gotten the ax in the last three years. Unfortunately for fans of two Peacock reality shows, their favorite shows are just the latest victims of the unforgiving television landscape.
First reported by Deadline, NBC has cancelled LA Fire & Rescue and Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge. Both reality shows premiered less than a year ago on Peacock. It appears that each show was cancelled in an attempt to make room for NBC’s coverage of the upcoming Paris Olympic Games, which begins on July 26. NBC is setting up another reality summer.
The network has unveiled premiere dates for its summer slate including America’s Got Talent, American Ninja Warrior, Password, The Wall and Weakest Link.

In terms of That’s My Jam, Deadline revealed that production had been paused in February, understood to be for celebrity scheduling reasons.

Terry Crews is a serial entertainer. The energetic actor has a muscular physique that action icons Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger were impressed with when they worked with him on The Expendables franchise. However, despite the hulking image, Crews would not limit himself to action movies as he would use his charismatic charm for such sitcoms like Everybody Hates Chris and Are We There Yet?, as well as being the host for the reality competition, America’s Got Talent. Crews is now ready to throw some fists and let the bullets fly yet again. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Crews will be seen in an upcoming action-comedy that will co-star the equally charismatic muscleman, Dave Bautista. Crews and Bautista have recently wrapped filming on The Killer’s Game.

Terry Crews will be playing The Killer’s Game.
The actor will be seen alongside Dave Bautista, Ben Kingsley and Sofia Boutella in the J.J. Perry-directed movie, which has wrapped filming. Crews will be playing a character that was previously reported to be played by Ice Cube.
Based on Jay Bonansinga’s novel, The Killer’s Game follows a veteran assassin (Bautista), who, according to the film’s synopsis, “is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and authorizes a hit on himself to avoid the pain that is destined to follow. But soon after, he finds out that he was misdiagnosed— and must fend off an army of former colleagues trying to kill him.”
Rand Ravich and James Coyne penned the screenplay. Mad Chance’s Andrew Lazar and Endurance Media’s Steve Richards are producers, along with Kia Jam. Bautista and Jonathan Meisner will executive produce for Dogbone Entertainment, with Scott Lambert also exec producing.

Denzel Washington is one of the most prolific actors who changed the way African American characters were portrayed in mainstream cinema. The actor has starred in landmark films such as Training Day, Glory, Philadelphia, Malcolm X, and Cry Freedom. He has also been nominated for the Oscars multiple times and has won the award twice.
Washington was reportedly always interested in playing Black Panther in a film adaptation. While the actor became too old to play the iconic superhero by the time the character made his cinematic debut with Chadwick Boseman’s portrayal, Washington reportedly had his eyes on another superhero. Denzel Washington once mentioned how he wanted to play Green Lantern.

Actor Terry Crews is best known for the portrayal of Terry Jeffords in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. While the sitcom made Crews a household name, the actor initially struggled to carve a name for himself in Hollywood, having made his film debut in 2000. Terry Crews Reveals He Was Paid “Nothing” For ‘Training Day’ But “Heart Is Always Full of Gratitude”
Terry Crews is careful not to correlate his personal gratitude with financial compensation. The actor and TV host revealed this week he didn’t receive payment for his role in Training Day but emphasized that the lack of a check has never affected his love for a project.
“I have never ever, ever looked at whatever money I got as a horror story,” Crews said during an appearance on Club Shay Shay. “You can’t nod yes and mean no.”
Crews went on to say he was only paid $4,000 for his role in 2002’s Friday After Next and that he received “nothing” for 2001’s Training Day. The two films eventually put Crews on the path to becoming the movie star he is today.
“I didn’t get zero [for Training Day], but it changed my life forever,” Crews said. “You wouldn’t know who I was if it weren’t for a no-paying job.

“AGT: Fantasy League” continued on February 5 with the second set of second round performances in “Semi-Finals 2.” The new spin-off series marks the return of former judge Mel B as she joins Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel in a head-to-head competition to mentor an all star ‘AGT’ act through the season to victory. Terry Crews is back once again for hosting duties.
Over eight weeks of shows, the judges’ Dream Teams of 10 will be narrowed down until only one stands as the newest AGT champion and takes home the $250,000 cash prize. That act will also give their mentor the first coach’s win in AGT history. In the four qualifiers, 10 acts performed with one receiving the week’s Golden Buzzer and five others advanced to this next round based on an audience vote.

Get ready to take yourself dancing — Miley Cyrus stopped by the 2024 Grammy Awards to perform a rendition of her hit single, “Flowers,” which won the award for Best Pop Solo Performance, marking Cyrus’ very first Grammy win.
After accepting the award — and making several jokes about how excited she was to see its presenter, Mariah Carey — Cyrus was swept off stage. Returning later in the night, she brought “Flowers” to life, taking the stage solo to sing the song with a celebratory touch, even augmenting the lyrics at one point to celebrate the win. At the end of the song, she riffed on the “I can love me better baby” line, and then triumphantly threw down the mic stand. Everyone from Taylor Swift to Terry Crews to Oprah seemed to be having a great time. Watch a clip of the performance below.

Los Angeles, Feb 5 (Ians) Star stand-up Trevor Noah opened the Grammys with a monologue about all of the celebrities in attendance including Taylor Swift and Meryl Streep.
Early in his monologue, Noah pointed at Mark Ronson, saying, “His mother-in-law is going to be sitting right there. Do you know who she is? Meryl Streep! One of the greatest Meryl Streeps of all time! She is going to be in this chair. I can’t believe Meryl Streep is here. I really can’t believe it!”
At that point, she appeared behind him, walking to her seat, reports Variety.com.
“What? You thought I was lying?” he continued.
“You don’t have to apologise to me, Meryl Streep! Do you know what that means? This Grammys is gonna win an Oscar. I don’t know how, but we just did it. I’d like to thank both academies!”

The 2024 Grammys mark Trevor Noah’s fourth consecutive year as the host of music’s biggest night.
In his opening monologue, Noah took a moment to praise all musicians — nominated at this year’s awards or otherwise. “These people write the soundtracks of our lives,” he said.
The comedian pointed at Barbie music producer Mark Ronson’s table and called him one of the greatest producers of all time. He continued by saying that Ronson’s mother-in-law, Meryl Streep, would be sitting at the table right there.
Then, Streep herself, accidentally crashed his opener by arriving at her seat late. The Oscar-winning actress apologized to the host, and he told her she didn’t need to.
“This moment right here. Do you know what this means? The Grammys is gonna win an Oscar,” he joked. “I don’t know how. I want to thank both Academies. Thank you so much.

“I must warn you, this show is live, anything can happen,” teased host Trevor Noah about Sunday’s Grammys Awards. “It’s like flying on a Boeing airplane. One minute there is a door. The next minute we are outside.”
The former host of The Daily Show returned for a fourth time as master of ceremonies for the 66th annual fete. Opening the show in his signature white jacket and tie, Noah talked about how the Grammys was the “only concert that actually starts on time” and how it even hands out a prize for best audio book.
“It’s hard to twerk to, but it’s still great,” he joked.
Noah went on to riff about AI, Taylor Swift, and all those female nominees. But first, he had to help escort Meryl Streep to her chair.
