Meyer De Wolfe was born 1887 in Holland. He founded the music publishing house De Wolfe in 1909 in England. He also composed music for the company under his own name as well as pseudonyms including Peter Merrick and Antonio Valotti. In 1929 De Wolfe began issuing its music on records as accompaniment for films. De Wolfe Music Publishers have the longest running independent film and television music library resource in the world and is still a family-run business. Meyer De Wolfe died in 1964.
