Alien Infiltration
Stars: Jeremy London, Roddy Piper, Cuyle Carvin, Adrienne Lavalley | Written by John Doolan | Directed by Colin Theys
Ok, so the “plot” of Alien Infiltration is a little convoluted – After killing her daughters abusive husband, an alien crash lands in their small-town junkyard. Unable to claim the life insurance payout without a body they go on TV and offer a cash reward to whomever can kill the alien and recover the body. Tempted by a $100,000 rewards every wacko within 100 miles turns out – including an American football team, a school of karate kicking kids, the towns sheriff and a whole heap of unsavoury money-hungry vigilantes (including “Rowdy” Roddy Piper as a maching gun toting priest!), and before long the junkyard is transformed into a war zone as man takes on alien in a epic battle to the death.
With nods to many an alien invasion flick before it, Alien Infiltration...

As we told you back in October, Steve Niles’ Remains will be Chiller‘s first original movie, and now it’s nearly here. It premieres this Friday, December 16 at 10/9c, and we have some pics, a summary, and a prequel to share with you. We’ll have a review of this show, and excerpts from a Q&A session with Steve Niles, later in the week.
Although it’s destined to be compared with AMC‘s The Walking Dead, the zombies in Remains are very different, as you will quickly see if you click on to the 11-minute prequel that Chiller has very kindly posted on its website. Seriously, check it out, but Not while you’re eating. It is totally gross, but it also has at least one laugh-out-loud moment. If this is a taste – sorry – of what’s to come in the movie, this production is going to be Very entertaining.

Did you remember to check out the online-only prequel webisode for Chiller TV's Remains entitled Remains: Road to Reno that premiered today? If not, be sure to head over to Chillertv.com and do so. But first how about a quick Q&A with executive producer Steve Niles, who also wrote the graphic novel Remains is based on? In addition, we have two new promo videos to share!
Niles recently conducted a roundtable conference call in advance of Remains' December 16th premiere on Chiller TV, and the network was kind enough to share the transcript with us. Read on for a look inside the mind of this creative genius as he discusses his role in the production, what he looks for when someone approaches him about adapting his work, his preference between vampires and zombies, and lots more!
Reporter: Were you involved in this production beyond creating the source material?...

A week before the premiere of its first original movie, Steve Niles’ Remains, Chiller TV will whet viewers’ appetites for zombies with the debut of a special online-only prequel, Remains: Road to Reno. This eleven-minute webisode, produced exclusively for Chillertv.com, will debut online Friday, December 9th, and will give viewers a glimpse at the origins of Remains’ post-apocalyptic zombie invasion.
At the outset of the film (premiering Friday, December 16th at 10:00 pm on Chiller), a radioactive blast transforms every tourist and local in Reno, Nevada, into mindless, ravenous zombies. But before the action begins in Reno, somewhere just outside the city a lone mechanic (Morgan West) is learning first-hand what’s required to survive the undead.
With Remains: Road to Reno, Chiller’s official prequel to Steve Niles’ Remains, viewers can head back before the blast to watch as the virus descends upon an isolated gas station. Imagined by writer Steve Niles,...

I have a love hate relationship with Chiller. To be honest, I really only watch it around Halloween. Their count down shows are pretty good, but I’m not happy with most of the programming they show because it’s usually Syfy recycles or some straight to DVD low budget flicks that aren’t worth anyone’s time. I was pleased to see them pick up Showtime’s Masters of Horror, and I’ll be honest, the airing of Buffy put a smile on my face. So it seems with the recent success of some original programming they will venture into films now instead of just countdowns. Read more after the jump to see the two new features from Chiller.

Remains based on the comic book, will be Chiller's second original horror movie as their first is Ghoul which is adapted from a novel. From Chiller: Based on the graphic novel by Steve Niles, and set in a chilling post-apocalyptic Reno, Nevada, Remains follows the two lone survivors of a bizarre accident that reduced most of the world's population to zombies. The pair take refuge in a vacant casino and fight a losing battle against the undead, who grow steadily stronger, smarter and more aggressive by the minute. Steve Niles' Remains is written by John Doolan and directed by Colin Theys. Andrew Gernhard and Zach O'Brien are serving as producers. Ghoul by the way follows a group of young friends who risk their lives to stop a rash of disappearances in their own town. Can you believe all of this horror TV news? It's awesome! In the past few months I've posted more news regarding piloted series than in the past ten years combined. Chiller is getting into the mix (although it's pointless until they give us their channel in HD) with the rollout of two original films and a new special, the network announced Tuesday. Among the original film titles slated for 2011 is Steve Niles' Remains, which follows the two lone survivors of a bizarre accident that reduced most of the world's population to zombies. The movie, written by John Doolan and directed by Colin Theys, is based on a graphic novel by Steven Niles ("30 Days of Night"). Also, Brian Keene's Ghoul -- based on a horror novel of the same name -- follows a group of young friends who risk their lives to stop a rash of disappearances in their town.

Director: Colin Theys Writers: John Doolan, Gregory C. Parker, Christian Pindar Starring: Ashley Bates, David McCarthy, Kevin Shea, Kerry McGann, Iris McQuillan-Grace The term banshee comes from Gaelic folklore in which a female spirit uses her piercing wails to warn of impending death. Banshees most often appear as ugly old hags, but they can also appear as stunningly beautiful women. Director Colin Theys’ banshee provides a monstrous take on the creepy ladies from Gaelic folklore. Banshee!!! features an Alien-esque creature with wings and a long face with vibrating flaps – rather than a mouth – that it uses to produce a powerfully deafening wail which allows it to disguise itself as whichever human it chooses. Cocooned in a stinky pod in the trunk of a ‘68 Plymouth Fury that has been buried since 1970, the banshee has been awakened in the backwoods of “bumble-fuck Connecticut” (to quote one of the characters) when Jack (Kevin...

Banshee!!! is an indie film from Synthetic Cinema International that releases on DVD March 23rd, but early reviews are less than satisfying. On Dreadcentral.com the film has been rated 1.5 knives out of 5, which is way below average and on IMDb the current rating is 3.3 out of 10. So, while the poster art and trailer are amusing Banshee, with three extra exclamation marks, likely is not worth purchasing. However, for some afternoon laughs have a look at several of the scenes from the film, that according to Dreadcentral, "just jump around at random." All the details on Banshee!!! below.
A synopsis for Banshee!!!:
"A group of college friends on a spring break camping trip are stalked and slashed by an unknown creature with the ability to make them hallucinate through sound waves. The survivors seek refuge in an isolated farmhouse, cut off from all communication. Now they have to come...
