Ironically, his wife Alex Borstein was originally scheduled to play the
character of "Sookie St. James" on Gilmore Girls (2000), the character who would later marry his own character on "Gilmore Girls", "Jackson Belleville". Borstein had to back out at the last minute because of contractual obligations, and took the minor role of "Drella" in the first season, instead.
