- Lived in the East Village of Manhattan while she was a slam poet then moved to Brooklyn, New York and eventually ended up in Hudson, New York.
- Wrote a monthly column for SHOUT Magazine.
- She worked for 15 years on the novel "The Angelmakers" which is about 19th Century women gangsters and the founding of animal rights movement. She rewrote the novel 7 times and it's not been published.
- Attended Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics in Boulder, Colorado.

- Has worked as a horse groom, a go-go dancer, a dishwasher, a nurse's aide and a factory worker.
- Has written for Black Book, Harpers Bazaar, NY Press, Planet Magazine, POPsmear, The Village Voice, Elle (Germany) and Die Zeit (Germany).
- Her books are published in translation in Italy, Germany and Israel.
- Received BA in Literature from the State University of New York.
- Released two spoken word CDs, "No More Mister Nice Girl" (Imago, 1994) and "Love is a Dog From Hell" (Mercury, 1997).
- Short stories have been included in several anthologies, including: "Aloud: Voices from the Nuyorican Poets' Cafe", "Gynomite: Fearless Feminist Porn", "The KGB Bar Reader", "The Ex Files", and "The Touch".
- Briefly worked as a stripper but was terrible at it.
- Her passion for writing developed during her 1980's rehab stay for a heroin addiction. "No amount of yoga, bicycle racing, rapacious sex, or buying things can take the place of writing. If I don't write, I die".
- Most recently was working as a Realtor and was selling Legs Diamonds old house.
- Passionately loved the fluffy white birthday cake from Venerios.
