Is the third actress to have portrayed Agatha Christie's Miss Marple in a film adaptation (in Ever's case it was a 1983 Russian film version of A Pocketful of Rye) after
Angela Lansbury in 1980 (The Mirror Crack'd and
Margaret Rutherford in 1961 (Murder, She Said). Evers is the fourth longest-lived (aged 92 and 4 months) Miss Marple actress in film or television. Interestingly, Evers is the third Miss Marple actress to have died aged 92. The others being Joan Hickson and Helen Hayes.
