After the wild finish in the Auburn-Alabama Iron Bowl 2013, Twitter went crazy. "Modern Family" star Eric Stonestreet posted our favorite thing -- the above video of the end of the game, where the camera was panning sad Alabama fans. He captioned it merely, "Emotions." Hee.
Down below is the radio call of the Auburn radio announcers during the missed field goal return that handed the Tigers the game -- "They're Not Gonna Keep 'Em Off The Field Tonight." Double hee.
Here are a few more great celebrity reactions:

Chicago – I don’t know if “Madden 25” wanted to slap me in the face each time I loaded a game, but it did, and my cheeks are still red. Practically every load screen in the game features some tidbit of “Madden” history, things like “Madden was the first football game to feature 11 players on both sides of the ball” and “Madden 2006 featured the now infamous vision cone”. Which, in theory, is cool - I’m a gaming enthusiast who’s bought this game every year since 2003, sometimes twice depending on the platform, and the chance to relive the memories of “Madden”s gone-by is a welcome experience. Until you think about it. For all the features these loading screens tout, few remain. I lament the loss of my precious “Weapons” system, Madden Iq, surprise onside kicks, and, yeah, even that bastard yellow vision cone.

It was only a few years ago that the Nfc West was considered the worst division in the NFL, and all of pro football for that matter.
It was the laughing stock of the whole league as the Seattle Seahawks won a divisional title with a 7-9 record, becoming the first team ever to make the play-offs with a losing record back in 2010.
Fast forward a couple of years and it is difficult to picture how the Nfc West could be transformed into arguably the best and most interesting division in the NFL, as we approach the start of the 2013 season in a little over a weeks time.
The situation was so dire that a genuine discussion was held about whether the governing body of the league needed to alter – or at the very least look at – the seeding system for the play-offs.

Every year we see teams go in a different direction at quarterback. Whether it’s the fact that teams want a younger quarterback under center or maybe their current quarterback just isn’t getting the job done. Even though the 2013 NFL season hasn’t started yet, there are plenty of quarterbacks who are in danger of losing their job.
With free agency and the NFL Draft in the books teams have added quarterbacks to their roster to compete for the starting job. This usually means that the franchise is uncomfortable with their quarterback situation and need to find an answer quickly. We will see new quarterbacks take on the responsibilities and we will see others take a seat on the bench or even get cut. So let’s look at 5 quarterbacks who could lose their starting job in the 2013 season.

It’s that time again, where we take a look at the performances of this year’s rookie NFL quarterbacks, and hand out grades accordingly. Week three is in the books, so let’s get going.
Andrew Luck, Indianapolis. Final grade: B
The Colts fell to 1-2 this week following a loss to the Jaguars, but rookie Luck had a pretty good game. He completed just under half of his throws for 313 yards. He connected on two touchdowns, but also threw one pick. Luck also demonstrated his athletic ability, rushing for 50 yards on four carries.
It has been mentioned before in this column, but it’s worth saying again. Andrew Luck is the real deal, and barring any disasters, the Colts have a good chance of rebuilding their team around him.
Robert Griffin III, Washington. Final grade: B-
Just slightly behind Luck this week, but not by much. Griffin and...

Speaking of online videos featuring the workout techniques of humans who populate the socioeconomic class of ‘super fit,’ the now seemingly fallible, but still in very good shape Filipino politician and professional boxer Manny Pacquiao will teach you how to get the Vitruvian Man body and those washboard abs you always wanted. Pacquiao is the latest in a roster of professional sports figures to be featured in the Yahoo original web series Elite Athlete Workouts. The program is exactly what the title suggest. Cameras follow Olympians and NFL, NBA, boxing, and Ufc stars (like Apolo Anton Ohno, Larry Fitzgerald, Rudy Gay, Floyd Mayweather, and Georges St. Pierre), documenting particularly peculiar, rigorous, or interesting parts of their workout routines while we learn about their diet and caloric intakes, as well as what drives them to be the best ice skater / wide receiver / shooting guard / pound for pound boxer / mixed martial artist they can be.

Football and war should never be equated. Any human who isn’t Kellen Winslow Jr. nor hopped up on the adrenaline from catching seven passes for 88 yards in a sporting event and whatever levels of testosterone are present in a 6’4” 240lbs all-star collegiate athlete knows that. And though football and war sometimes tragically kinda cross paths, no “football as war” analogy is ever appropriate. That’s why I sort of get a funny feeling about the companion series for Electronic Arts upcoming video game release Battlefield 3. The first-person shooter puts players in charge of a military campaign “set near the Iran-Iraq border, where the Us Marine Crops is fighting the Poeple’s Liberation and Resistance.” EA will release the title on October 25. In preparation for that release, EA is marketing the game by way of the three-episode web series Battlefield 3: Operation Gridiron, which will culminate in a cable broadcast finale October 24 on Spike TV.

Electronic Arts is developing "Madden Curse," a sports comedy feature that explores an infamous jinx that seems to strike NFL players who appear on the cover of EA's popular "Madden" video game series with career shortening injuries shortly after reports The Wrap.
The story will follow a former Madden video game champion who is forced out of retirement just as he finds himself on the corner of the game's cover -- and subject to the curse.
NFL legend John Madden appeared on the cover of all Madden games until 1999. Since then annual cover boys have included 1999's Garrison Hearst (who then broke his fibula), 2000's Dorsey Levens (knee injury), 2001's Eddie George (general decline), 2002's Dante Culpepper (knee injury), 2003's Marshall Faulk (ankle injury), 2004's Michael Vick (broken leg), 2005's Ray Lewis (torn hamstring), 2006's Donovan McNabb (sports hernia), 2007's Shaun Alexander (broken foot), and 2008's Vince Young (quads & knee...

Out of all the video game to movie adaptations we've been seeing as of late, this has got to be one of the weirdest. In fact, if we weren't in the middle of December, I would probably assume this was an early April Fool's joke. According to The Wrap [1], EA is planning a movie based on their long running, wildly successful Madden football game franchise. While that might not be so weird in itself, the premise is not about an underdog football team that wins a championship thanks to the coaching of John Madden. Instead, it will be a comedy about the "Madden Curse", the so-called jinx that brings misfortune to the athlete who adorns the cover of each year's game. Don't believe in the curse? Check out this complete list of Madden cover athletes and the accidents that have befallen them: 1999: Garrison Hearst -- Broke his fibula in...

Electronic Arts is developing "Madden Curse," a sports comedy based on the curse that many believe strikes NFL players who appear on the cover of the company's popular "Madden" video game. The story will follow a former "Madden" video game champion who is forced out of retirement just as he finds himself on the corner of the game's cover -- and subject to the curse. Here is a recap of the curse: * In 1999, the cover featured Garrison Hearst, who broke his fibula in the Nfc divisional playoffs. * In 2000, the cover featured Barry Sanders, who retired before the season. A new cover was then released with Dorsey Levens, who then injured his knee and never returned as a starter. * In 2001, the cover featured Eddie George, whose career ended a year later. * In 2002, the cover featured Dante Culpepper, who then suffered a season-ending knee injury. * In 2003, the cover featured Marshall Faulk, who...

Daunte Culpepper. Marshall Faulk. Ray Lewis. Michael Vick. Larry Fitzgerald. And even Troy Polamalu. In the past decade, there is one thing that all these NFL players have in common. They all suffered from the Madden Curse after being on the cover of the Madden NFL video game. Video game-company Electronic Arts confirmed to TheWrap a movie is under development based on the Madden curse. The web site wrote, “The story will follow a former Madden video game champion who is forced out of retirement just as he finds himself on the corner of the game’s cover – and subject to the curse.” Pat O’Brien, vice president of EA entertainment, is one of the producers for this film. This year, quarterback Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints is on the cover of Madden NFL 2011 and has not suffered any setbacks or injuries. Lucky him. There is still two...

Electronic Arts is developing a sports comedy movie about the “Madden Curse,” a supposed jinx that strikes down players in their prime with bad luck or serious injury after being featured on the cover of the Madden NFL video game.
The Wrap reports the movie will focus on the eerie coincidence and a former gaming champion forced out of retirement as he’s featured on the corner of the latest cover.
From 1988 to 1998, the covers featured former football player and color commentator John Madden. But, in 1999, EA began replacing Madden’s smiling mug with an NFL player at the peak of his game, starting with Garrison Hearst. The ‘49ers running back led his team to the Nfc divisional playoffs that year before breaking his fibula and recovering off the field for two full seasons.

Each and every year, the Madden NFL series is one of the top selling video games. The highly realistic football simulator has been been a console staple for the better part of two decades and is the closest a gamer can get to actually being on the gridiron, both as a player or a coach. Over the decades though, while gamers took control of their favorite NFL teams virtually, the actual players on the cover of the game were getting injured in reality. This strange phenomenon became known as the Madden Curse and while it hasn't taken its toll on Madden NFL 2011 cover boy quarterback Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints (above), it still has an impressive, and eerie, track record. Several athletes have acknowledged the curse and now the company behind the Madden NFL series, Electronic Arts, are doing more than acknowledging it. They're hoping to profit from it.

Thursday night (August 26) was extra long for a dozen MTV News staffers, as once the news-gathering day ended, the fantasy football day began. The 2010 NFL season begins on Thursday, September 9 when the Minnesota Vikings visit the New Orleans Saints in a rematch of last season's Nfc Championship game (for the rest of the league, the season starts on Sunday, September 12 — the same day as the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards). Once again, 12 members of the MTV News team have come together to square off against one another for fantasy football greatness.
Though the predominant attitude among fantasy football players seems to suggest a move away from the running back-centric focus of past years, but the MTV News fantasy football draft kept a strong focus on runners (13 of the first 24 picks were backs), but there were plenty of curve balls. There was a big run on receivers in the second round (Andre Johnson,...
