Retro styled horror films have been in vogue for a few years now. Most of the films in this sub-genre miss the mark, because they fail to capture the spirit of those horror films of yesteryear. However, Bloody Bloody Bible Camp is an exception. Elements present in those films - gratuitous nudity, tasteless situations, lack of logic, iconic horror movie villain, over the top gore, tacky fashions - are all here. So then how is it that Bloody Bloody Bible Camp ended up missing the mark? .....Well, I'll tell you. They missed the mark in terms of pacing. Think of Topher Grace (That 70's Show, Spiderman 3). Now think of indie horror vet Jeff Dylan Graham (Bloody Bloody Bible Camp). Now imagine if the two were crossed and you would get something, or in this case someone, resembling Kit Williamson. Still, there is something unquestionably unique and different about Kit compared to a lot of the other young hopeful actors who come to La in hopes of making it. In just a short amount of time, Kit Williamson has been featured in a variety of horror film productions including Last Halloween - a romance in the vein of Before Sunrise, but with a horror twist. There's also Opious, which could be described as a cross between The Evil Dead & Ghostbusters, & a role in Elisabeth Fies second feature length film - I Hate L.A. On top of everything, Kit Williamson will be joining the cast of my very own production - Drive-In Massacre as Trey.

Joe Hollow
From Joe Hollow, the director behind the indie slasher event of 2011 – “Cut”, and executive producers Shawn Allen & Debra Lamb comes "Mountain of the Flesh Eaters". Inspired by a short story written by Shawn Allen, Mountain of the Flesh Eaters follows in the terrifying tradition of such horror classics as The Hills Have Eyes & The Texas Chain Saw Massacre as a series of brutal, unrelenting murders plague a small town and the sheriff that gets caught up in the chaos.
Looking to join the ranks alongside those classics, Mountain of the Flesh Eaters will actually be told from the point of view of the flesh eating, blood thirsty cannibals themselves. With Mountain of the Flesh Eaters, film writer Joe Hollow is looking to get beyond the stereotypical characterizations and get to the heart of what makes these cannibals who they are. What makes them tick? What makes them engage in these cannibalistic activities?...

Fell starring Jeff Dylan Graham Usually when it comes to the politics of a film finding distribution or getting into film fests, we here at Big Daddy Horror Reviews usually stay away from that as our main thing is on reporting on the latest horror news and offering up reviews of the latest horror films. However, when a quality film can't even get into a film fest and find distribution, that's like a double whammy for the film making it so that people won't be able to see the film and for word of mouth to start spreading on it. That's what is happening to Fell from Marcus Koch and starring Jeff Dylan Graham.
Fell deals with young man (Jeff Dylan Graham) who has apparently murdered a woman in his bathtub. He wakes up from a prescription drug induced sleep where the lines between reality and a nightmarish world are blurred.

Peter Stickles Imagine if Chris O' Donnell (School Ties) had a cousin, or even brother, who looked like him and who made campy, low budget horror films. Then you got a good idea of what Peter Stickles is all about! In his breakout role in Shortbus, Peter Stickles made stalking awfully damn cute! He followed that up with a controversial role in Watch Out. This year, Peter Stickles stars in two films for Full Moon Entertainment, Gingerdead Man 3-D: Saturday Night Cleaver & Evil Bong 3-D: The Wrath of Bond that are expected to re-establish Full Moon's presence as a viable producer of low budget horror films. Over the course of his career, Peter Stickles has had people talking about him. It might not have been all positive as the projects he has been have stirred up a wide variety of opinions, but the thing is, these projects have got...

Florida FX artist and filmmaker Marcus Koch, who just previously had given us the splatterific clown-slasher gorefest 100 Tears, takes on a totally different type of film with his latest feature Fell. Fell stars Jeff Dylan Graham as Bill, a young man with a variety of personal problems he tries to wash away with drugs and alcohol. Faced with memory loss after waking up to finding a dead woman’s body in his bathtub, he spends his hours alone eating, taking pills, drinking, and trying to regain his memory and figure out how to rectify his situation.

The aim of the Big Daddies is to honor outstanding achievement in the horror genre including films that virtually no one saw to the independents to the very popular. To kick start this round of the nominations (in no order) we are announcing the nominees in the categories of outstanding achievement in a Lead Performance Actor & Actress. This writer recently hit the set of filmmaker Creep Creepersin’s latest flick, Lovesick Captivity, in Burbank, California, and while there chatted with the director concerning the feature as well as the slew of upcoming projects he’s currently prepping.
Our visit came on the third and final day of principal photography for Lovesick Captivity (Creepersin works historically fast); yet, we found the filmmaker rather relaxed, regardless of the time constraint. The psychological thriller, which chronicles the rising domestic strife between a man and his blushing bride (the latter is stalked by a serial killer and subsequently has been forced into self-imposed house arrest), stars longtime Creepersin collaborator Charlie Vaughn, Dylan Vox (Brides of Sodom), Jeff Dylan Graham (Don’t Look in the Basement), Robbyn Leigh (Devil’s Den), Katie Costick (City Rats) and supermodel Heather Hewitt. Andrew Ceperley serves as director of photography, and Nikki Wall and Creepersin produce along with Tom Ingram.

The first thing people will notice about horror director Alan Rowe Kelly (Don't Look In The Basement, I'll Bury You Tomorrow) is that he is a gender bender, but Kelly has been bending more then genders his entire career as he has broken out the idea of conventionality. At the age of 39, with 40 just right around the corner, he had an epiphany. Bored with a career as a stylist, he made the sudden and dramatic move to horror. First testing the waters as an author, he switched over to the world of indie horror film directing where he won great acclaim for "I"ll Bury You Tomorrow". As he continued to direct films, he also started making a name for himself in the indie horror world as an actor playing power players, agents, something that rhymes with witch, etc. These were powerful, empowered characters that personally reflected upon Alan Rowe Kelly himself.

Jeff Dylan Graham, the ultimate horror actor, the ultimate chameleon. You might not recognize his face and that's for good reason. You see Jeff changes up his appearance like Lindsey Lohan drinks alcohol. Jeff has appeared in his fair share of horror movies and more in likely you've seen something that he has appeared in and just didn't realize it. He has worked with special effects artists and part time director Marcus Koch several times throughout his career including a starring role in Fell. For part one of this interview we asked Jeff about his appearances in Fell, Bloodsucking Vampires, one of those countless Witchcraft films, October Moon and November Son. Here is what he had to say.
So who is Jeff Dylan Graham and what are you all about?

Not content with just being another pretty face, Jeff Dylan Graham pushed himself in a new direction by becoming a film director with Psychosomatika. This pet project of his has been in the works for numerous years now as Jeff has gone back and tweaked the film over and over again. However, this isn't to say that Jeff Dylan Graham has given up on acting. That can further from the truth. He has a starring role in Vito Trabucco's Bloody Bloody Bible Camp which co-stars Reggie Bannister, Ron Jeremy and of course Tim Sullivan as the Sister Mary Chopper! Here's what Jeff Dylan Graham had to say about these films.

Marcus Koch seems to be the go to guy for special effects these days in the indie horror world. Having racked up a number of credits in the past few years including Bloody Bloody Bible Camp starring Reggie Bannister (Phantasm), Tim Sullivan (host of the TV show Scream Queens and director of 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams), and adult film superstar Ron Jeremy. He has also worked on Herschell Gordon Lewis's The Uh-Oh Show, Andrew Allan's Brainjacked, Jay Woelfel's Live Evil and many other films. Marcus Koch has also stepped back into the director's chair with Fell starring Jeff Dylan Graham. Here's what Marcus Koch had to say about his career.
So who is Marcus Koch and what is he all about?
Not sure yet, but, I'm a Pieces. Sometimes I don hideous mohawks, listen to bad 80's music and collect cheesy tuxedo t-Shirts. I love horror films and I love weird art.

Jason Paul Collum is the genre director of several films and was featured as Bachelor of the Month in Instinct magazine. He is mentored by legendary scream queen Brinke Stevens who starred in two of his more popular efforts October Moon and its sequel November Son. Directed by the talented Billy Clift, the drag-studded recreation of the 1962 black-and-white classic “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?” drops us back into the wacky depths of sisterly rivalry. De Paul plays the well groomed Mad Men-esque Detective Bill Kovacks who investigates the strange, yet amusing, happenings at the home where former child star Baby Jane Hudson, who was overshadowed by her more famous sister Blanche, now holds the frail wheelchair-bound star prisoner following a mysterious automobile accident.

As a long-time fan of the old movie greats like Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, it was only natural that I would be excited to see a film that was a gay parody/homage to the classic Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? with more than a handful of “Mommy Dearest” references thrown in for good measure. The film Baby Jane? was set to screen its world premiere in San Francisco in June of 2010, but upon hearing about the charity organization Youth First Texas and the sponsorship event being put on by Doa Bloodbath Entertainment, screenwriter/director Billy Clift decided to allow the Fears for Queers Glbt Film Festival to show the film three days prior in an exclusive premiere. This reviewer has known actor Lee Perkins for a long time and now there is an opportunity to see Perkin's more quirky side. Psychosomatika is Perkin's latest feature to complete production. The film is slated for a likely October 2010 release, if all things go well. In the film Perkins places a strange neighbour or as Lee puts it: "a not so normal neighbour" (Perkins). The film is about secrets and putting a life back together (IMDb). Take a few moments to really appreciate Perkins in a pink bathrobe and gold mask here and inside.
The synopsis for Psychosomatika here:
"Lionel Perkins awakens from a coma only to find himself in the middle of what he believes to be an alternate reality - an adaptation of his own life. Remembering only bits and pieces of his past, he begins to wonder if these vague memories of the life he once had...

Shoreline Entertainment has recently signed three films by notorious low budget filmmaker Creep Creepersin, just in time for Afm.
First up is Orgy of Blood, an erotic vampire film starring Domiziano Arcangeli, who is also executive producer. The film, also starring Chandler Maness ("Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency"), Randal Malone (Curse of Lizzie Borden), Jeff Dylan Graham (Psychosomatika), and a slew of horror genre favorites, wrapped in May. Orgy of Blood was written and directed by Creep Creepersin and produced by Aine Leicht and Nikki Wall.
Shoreline also snapped up two more Creepersin films for release as a Grindhouse-style double feature: The Creep Creepersin Double Featuresin. Comprised of Vaginal Holocaust and Caged Lesbos a-Go-Go, the double feature is a heavy throwback to 60’s and 70’s exploitation films.

Stuck!, written and directed by Steve Balderson (Pep Squad, Firecracker), is a gorgeous, black-and-white noir character piece that feels less like an homage and more like a newly discovered classic in the babes-behind-bars genre. Whereas Barak Epstein's Prison A Go-go opted to go the route of parody (owing more to Troma than to, say, the late Cirio H. Santiago...

Fango recently heard from the creators of Orgy Of Blood, the latest from indie writer/director Creep Creepersin, whose O.C. Babes And The Slasher Of Zombietown just got announced for DVD (see info here). His new movie (see exclusive photos below) is an erotic vampire opus starring and executive-produced by Italian actor Domiziano Arcangeli.
The story centers on Fosco (Arcangeli, first photo), a 300-year-old bloodsucker who lives a lustful lifestyle in an opulent mansion with his wife Sabina and their son Dimitri. Their lives are a nonstop orgy where anything goes—until the human Fauna and her boyfriend Micah arrive and begin turning the trio violently against each other. While Creepersin (second photo) scripted, it was Arcangeli who brainstormed the concept and story idea. “When I was growing up in Italy in the ’70s, there was this very famous adult-themed comic strip called Vampirella,” he tells Fango. “It was just...

Busy actor Jeff Dylan Graham, whose long genre résumé includes October Moon, Beyond The Dunwich Horror and 100 Tears, dropped us a line to let us know about his new project Baby Jane? Written and directed by William Clift, it’s a take-off on the 1962 Gothic classic What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?—only with male actors (Matthew Martin and J. Indie writer/director/producer Jason Paul Collum gave Fango the scoop that November Son, the sequel to his psychochiller October Moon, has been acquired for DVD release by Ariztical Entertainment. A spring 2009 disc release is being planned.
Set two years after the events of October Moon, the new movie centers on the survivors of that gay-themed stalker scenario as a couple of new characters enter their lives, with psychologically and physically destructive results. Collum reveals that the complete ensemble of actors from the previous film returned—even if their October characters died. “We got everyone back, which is a really amazing thing on a low-budget film,” he tells Fango. “It's rare, especially today, to have an entire cast come in for a sequel at this level, but everyone was so happy with the results of October Moon that no one hesitated.”

What to do with a fairly serene zombie who becomes a discipline case? You could shoot ’em in the face…but what if they’re a loved one or relative? Writer/director Jt Seaton’s upcoming feature George’S Intervention offers a look at the pros and cons of trying to sensitively cope with living among the living dead.
George’S Intervention (see more exclusive pics below), now filming in La, is a claustrophobic feature that aims to take audiences on a nasty adventure of caring and sharing, as the undead George is confronted by those closest to him about his decidedly unhealthy lifestyle. The premise sounds like that of a wild short flick, but George’S Intervention is actually a feature-length project. Fans will tickled to see genre vet Lynn (I Drink Your Blood) Lowry playing George’s inexperienced interventionist, with Peter (The Lair) Stickles co-starring as his best friend Ben,...

UPDATE:BLY director Seth Landau got us up to speed on the revised guest list for the Dark Delicacies signing. Dan Roebuck is out, but in his place comes Jeff Dylan Graham. Jeff has appeared in a number of horror pictures, aside from BLY, including, 100 Tears and Beyond the Dunwich Horror.
In another interesting turn of events, Seth informed us that some actual cult members from the real life Bryan Loves You incident will be on-hand to "monitor" the happenings. This is to guarantee that the cast and crew can go about their business unharmed. Weird, eh?
Bryan Loves You may be based on true events from the early '90s, but the stuff that went on to get this film made is just a bit more odd. Who knew that a film about some dark cult activities in Phoenix could lead to fake casting calls, threatening videos and theft of footage?...

It’s been almost six years since Adam Wingard (Pop Skull) completed work on his directorial debut, the Alabama-set survival horror piece Home Sick. Since then it’s played all over the place in varying degrees of completion before the final, definitive version was shown at last year’s Fantasia Film Festival. Finally on August 26th, 2008, we’ll be able to see if it was worth the wait when Synapse Films gets Home Sick on DVD.
Home Sick writer/producer E.L. Katz dropped us a line yesterday with word on what fans can expect from the long-gestating DVD which he just got his hands on a few days ago, ”There are three shorts on there that we did after the several-year Home Sick production recovery” he told us, "The Girlfriend" (the second short we did), is practically a half hour long and one of our first experiments doing something straight-forward and less silly and goretastic.
