The categories were: Industrial and Object Design, Fashion, Film, Music, Photography, Visual Arts and Visual Communications. On November 11, seven individuals took out awards in their specific categories. In the highly contested film section, Kasimir Burgess (pictured) from Melbourne won the award, and now has actress turned writer/director Rachel Ward (Beautiful Kate) as his mentor. Lesley Grant, Executive Manager Customer and Marketing says that Soya has given each of these artists a rare opportunity to gain exposure with their industries' leaders who, as Soya mentors, will coach and counsel the winners in their category. "Qantas is proud to support Australia's emerging creative leaders, who all have very bright futures ahead of them," he said.
