- On March 9, 1996, she met Rosa Parks while filming an independent film with Sean McNamara and David Brookwell in Santa Clarita, California. Ms. Parks came to the set to meet the cast and crew, and little 7 year old Brenda, who had no idea who she was, just had fun talking with this sweet old lady that everyone else seemed to be so impressed with for some reason. It wasn't until years later that she learned the magnitude of that friendly encounter.
