Does length matter? (In a game, that is)
Okay, stop sniggering. We’re better than that. I was, of course, referring to the recent brouhaha surrounding PS4 exclusive The Order: 1886 and its relatively short running time. For the uninitiated, mere days before the game launched to collective sighs around the globe, rumours hit the web that the game could be completed in as little as five hours. Gaming sites melted down, Internet arguments kicked off; it was, for lack of a better term, just another molehill turned mountain within the gaming industry… read the full article.

From toilet-based scares to nasty encounters in the shower, here's a selection of 17 memorable moments of terror in the bathroom...
Nb: the following contains potential spoilers and scenes which may be considered Nsfw.
The scariest moments in horror are often the most intimate - this is why knives are a far nastier, button-pushing instrument of death than the gun. As the Joker famously put it in The Dark Knight, “You can savour all those little emotions...”
Intimacy may be the key to understanding why, in horror films, so many dreadful things tend to happen in bathrooms. The bathroom is often where we go to be by ourselves - either to answer the call of nature, brush our teeth, or simply relax in the bath after a hectic day at work. Equally, the water closet also sees us at our most vulnerable: naked, or at least with our trousers down, and...

One of the key reasons as to why the first trailer for Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World proved to be so effective is the fact that the genetically-modified dinosaur turned out to be rather camera shy. Much like Steven Spielberg’s approach with Jaws, the park’s main attraction has been kept in the dark, though today we’ve learned more about the deadly hybrid, which is now known as the Indominus Rex — the “Fierce or Untameable King.”
Bigger, louder and with more teeth, the 40-foot-long predator is, for all intents and purposes, a force to be reckoned with. And to ramp up excitement for its summer tentpole, Universal released a detailed description of the dino via Jurassic World‘s official site.
We set out to make Indominus the most fearsome dinosaur ever to be displayed at Jurassic World. The genetic engineers at our Hammond Creation Lab have more than delivered.

Kept almost totally off screen in the trailers so far, Jurassic World’s big addition – and we do mean big – to the dino family has now been revealed. Well, sort of. Some new imagery on the official site for the film offers some details on the giant creature known as Indominus Rex. Planned as the big new attraction at the sprawling dino theme park (because clearly Raptors, T-Rexes and huge aquatic beasts have become passé), the new beast is a genetic hybrid bred to be even more savage and imposing than the current residents. Which, as you might guess, doesn’t exactly lead to good things when it breaks loose. Other things breaking loose? Hell, customers’ bladder control, law and order...Here’s the description from the official site for the dinosaur whose name means Fierce or Untameable King and who appears destined to live up to that: “We set...

Universal Pictures has updated their "Jurassic World" official site to include new details regarding the still under wraps, 'genetically modified hybrid' dinosaur - the Indominus Rex. The creature is 40 feet in length and the name means 'Fierce or Untamable King'. Here's the bio description:
"We set out to make Indominus the most fearsome dinosaur ever to be displayed at Jurassic World. The genetic engineers at our Hammond Creation Lab have more than delivered.
At first glance, Indominus most closely resembles a T. Rex. But its distinctive head ornamentation and ultra-tough bony osteoderms can be traced from Theropods known as Abeliosaurs. Indominus’ horns have been placed above the eye orbit through genetic material hybridized from Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops and Giganotosaurus. Fearsome indeed.
Indominus' roar is estimated to reach 140-160db—the same as a 747 taking off and landing. And it can reach speeds of 30 Mph while confined to its enclosure.

According to kdramastars and their sources, some new, very interesting spoilers have popped up for the upcoming "Jurassic World" action/thriller flick. It turns out that the main hybrid dinosaur has been given a new name. It's been changed from Diabolus Rex or D-Rex to Indominus Rex. This dinosaur will be a highly intelligent animal and will kill anything that moves. The new name for the dinosaur means Untamable or Fierce King. It will be a crossbreed of the T-Rex, Velociraptor, cuttlefish, and a death adder. The Indominus Rex will have human genes spliced into its DNA, most likely, giving it human intelligence. Also the director ,Colin Trevorrow, recently had the following to say about the movie: "There are dinosaurs and there's the other-there's this thing that is not one of them, that is not of them. There's a lot of bold new ideas in the movie and I'm...

As the first trailer for "Jurassic World" indicated, the major creature for the new entry will be a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur - one which we've yet to see the features of. It does have a name though, one that the publicity materials for the film have yet to reveal.
A while back, leaked photos of a tie-in Lego Set for the movie called it a Diablous Rex (D-Rex). That now seems to have changed as SciFied reports that an updated toy list has indicated the creature's new name is Indominus Rex (I-Rex). That translates to 'Untamable King'.
The updated list of tie-in toys includes T-Rex, Velociraptor, Mosasaur, Ankylosaurus, and Triceratops figures.
In other tie-in merchandising news, Mercedes-Benz has confirmed its partnership with Universal Pictures on the film and says Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire character will be driving the new high-performance Gle 63 Amg Coupe in the movie.

Nnewts Book One: Escape from the Lizzarks
By Doug TenNapel
186 pages, Scholastic Graphix, $19.99 (hc)/$10.99 (pb)
There is no doubt Doug TenNapel is a highly imaginative and creative storyteller. I look forward to the day when he works with an editor to bring out the very best in his worldbuilding and stories. After a series of one-off stories, including Cardboard, Tommysaurus Rex, Ghostopolis, and Bad Island, he embarks on a series set in a new reality.
In Nnewts, he pits amphibians versus lizards in a realm that is far from Earth and focuses on Herk, a young Nnewt who yearns for being fully amphibious but his weak legs, a product from birth, prohibit that. Still, when disaster strikes Nnewtown, he is the sole person to make it out and embarks on the Hero’s Journey to find help.
At one juncture, he encounters the Lizard God and a few things are...

In opposition to TV’s “Schoolhouse Rock” classic tune, for movies three is not always the magic number. It’s true for most film franchises especially comedies (with National Lampoon’S Christmas Vacation being the exceptional exception). Many moviegoers still get queasy thinking about last year’s The Hangover Part III. Well, how about a more family friendly comedy series? In 2006 Ben Stiller decided to expand his fan base by starring in the surprise box-office smash, Night At The Museum, an all ages PG slapstick farce. Naturally he followed it up three years later with Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian, which did enough business to warrant another entry….five years later?! Really, it took that long for all the stars to align? Now these flicks are special effects heavy and during the post production two of its stars, well, made sure they weren’t available for a fourth installment.
