FX’s A Murder at the End of the World episode two dips into the past, filling in details about Darby and Bill’s relationship. The second episode, “The Silver Doe,” also reveals the death that’s at the heart of this murder mystery.
After looking through Bill’s (Harris Dickinson) window and seeing him bloody and collapsing on the ground, Darby (Emma Corrin) runs to get help from Sian (Alice Braga). That leads into a flashback of Darby as a young girl going to a crime scene with her father (Neal Huff). Her father tells her to wait in the car, but she gets out anyway and sees a body in a pond.
Back in the present, Sian attempts CPR on Bill.

FX’s A Murder at the End of the World, a limited series from the creators of The O.A. starring Emma Corrin, has become the first TV series to be pushed back from its premiere amid Hollywood’s historic dual strike.
Originally scheduled to bow Aug. 29, the seven-episode murder-mystery series starring Clive Owen will now arrive at a date to be determined in November.
The decision comes as executives across the film and TV landscape have been mulling whether to release previously completed projects or hold them for later — and when stars can promote them — during the ongoing strikes between the Writers Guild and the performers union, SAG-AFTRA. Both unions are on strike against studios and streamers who comprise the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers over such issues as the use of AI and residuals.

A Murder at the End of the World, the limited series that stars Emma Corrin, Clive Owen, Harris Dickinson and Brit Marling, has had its premiere pushed by FX.
The Disney-owned network has moved the series, which was created by Marling and Zal Batmanglij, from August 29 to November.
The move comes amidst a double strike from writers and actors and is thought to be one of the first, if not the first, high-profile TV series outside of the broadcast fall schedule to push back its premiere date as a result of the labor action.
Actors and writers are unable to do press and promotion during the strikes for struck companies, making it hard to generate buzz for a show, particularly one that is original and not based on existing IP.
The series will now make its Hulu-exclusive debut in November, though an exact date has not been set.

Slated to debut in August on the streamer, the miniseries finds Corrin playing Gen Z amateur sleuth Darby Hart, who is one of nine guests invited by a reclusive billionaire (Clive Owen) to participate in a retreat at a remote and isolated compound. The limited series, formerly titled Retreat, will now go by the name A Murder at the End of the World. It’s set to premiere in August on Hulu, FX’s Disney sibling; previous news about the show didn’t specify whether it would run exclusively on the streamer or start on the FX cable channel. This The Blacklist review contains spoilers.
The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 3
In typical The Blacklist fashion, “The Four Guns” doesn’t refer to firearms. Rather, the four individuals who are on Raymond Reddington’s (James Spader) blacklist this week are goniffs, Yiddish for “thieves.” These are not your run of the mill pickpockets. After all, they move through Senator Cynthia Panabaker’s (Deirdre Lovejoy) re-election speech at the park as an “apex predator,” a single organism of coordinated effort that manages to deftly swipe two guns, a radio, and a cell phone off of the two Secret Service men tasked with protecting Panabaker from malcontents. One of those secret service weapons is the one that fires at Panabaker but hits one of her agents in the shoulder instead.
A goniff is not a murderer, but a sly trickster who takes what belongs to another while fearing flesh and blood and eluding discovery at all cost.

Mare of Easttown fans have been waiting to see if the HBO series will return for a second season and star Kate Winslet spoke about the series in a recent podcast appearance. The actress is conflicted about making another season of the limited series, partly because playing Mare was 'frighteningly hard' for her.
Julianne Nicholson, Jean Smart, Angourie Rice, Evan Peters, Guy Pearce, Cailee Spaeny, David Denman, John Douglas Thompson, Patrick Murney, James McArdle, Sosie Bacon, Joe Tippett, and Neal Huff also star in the series, which follows a Pennsylvania detective, Marianne "Mare" Sheehan, as she investigates a teenage mother's murder while trying to keep her own personal life from falling apart.

Brandy is stepping back into the world of horror for a forthcoming psychological flick from A24 titled "The Front Room." On Aug. 25, Variety reported that the R&b icon is set to star in the horror film from directors Max and Sam Eggers, aka the Eggers brothers, whose older sibling, Robert Eggers, previously teamed up with A24 for movies like "The Witch" and "The Lighthouse." Brandy previously starred in 1998's "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr.
Not much is known about "The Front Room" yet, but Variety notes that the film "follows a young, newly pregnant couple forced to take in an ailing stepmother who has long been estranged from the family." Brandy's role is unknown at this time, but she will costar alongside Kathryn Hunter, Andrew Burnap, and Neal Huff.

Did you know "The Witch" and "The Lighthouse" director Robert Eggers has not just one but two brothers? And they're both in the business of making films themselves? Well, if you didn't before, you do know. Max and Sam Eggers are joining forces as "The Egger Brothers" to make their directorial debut on "The Front Room," a thriller that pairs them with their sibling Robert's frequent studio A24.
Far from a stranger to their sibling's output, Max and Sam Eggers previously served as, respectively, a co-writer on "The Lighthouse" and a production assistant on "The Witch." The pair were also production assistants on Robert Eggers' short film adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" and got a "special thanks" in the credits for their brother's Viking thriller "The Northman." As such, it will be all the more interesting to see how The Eggers Brothers set themselves apart from Robert Eggers,...

A24 has a brand new horror movie on the way titled The Front Room, and Variety reports that Brandy Norwood (I Still Know What You Did Last Summer) will be leading the cast.
What’s particularly interesting about the “psychological horror” movie is that it’s being directed by Max and Sam Eggers, brothers of Robert Eggers.
This will be the debut feature for the Eggers Brothers. Variety notes, “They adapted the screenplay from Susan Hill’s short story of the same name.”
The film “follows a young, newly pregnant couple forced to take in an ailing stepmother who has long been estranged from the family.”
Olivier Award-winning actress Kathryn Hunter (The Tragedy of Macbeth), Tony Award-winning actor Andrew Burnap (Snow White), and Neal Huff (Spotlight) will also star.
Max co-wrote The Lighthouse, and Sam Eggers was a production assistant on The Witch.

He may be starring in The Sinner on USA Network right now, but Neal Huff was a part of another show that hit the cultural zeitgeist this year, too.

Now he's cozying up to Bill Pullman and Frances Fisher as one of the Muldoons of Hanover Island on The Sinner.

The last time we had the opportunity to chat with Michael Mosley, he was starring on the short-lived Fox series, Next.
This time around, he's landed on a bonafide hit with USA Network's well-received The Sinner, from executive producer Jessica Biel and starring Bill Pullman as frazzled detective Harry Ambrose.
The Sinner Season 4 finds Harry and his gal-pal Sonya (Jessica Hecht) visiting an island for a bit of rest and relaxation before Harry gets embroiled in a local mystery.
Michael plays Colin Muldoon, the uncle of a young woman on the island, Percy Muldoon (Alice Kremelberg), who gets under Harry's skin before she goes missing, sparking an island-wide search.
Of course, as Harry digs into her disappearance, the Muldoons, a prominent fishing family on the island, will come under scrutiny.
Other Muldoon family members include matriarch Meg (Frances Fisher) and Sean (Neal Huff), Colin's brother and Percy's father.
