He was known for his amazing music, positive outlook and penchant for pot and now Bob Marley is the ambassador for a new label of ganja.

Brendan Kennedy, the CEO of Privateer Holdings declared, “This is what the end of prohibition looks like. Bob Marley started to push for legalization more than 50 years ago. We’re going to help him finish it. ... We’re committed to social change, environmental sustainability and building a professional, responsible and legal cannabis industry."

Marijuana's public image is coming in for a makeover worthy of daytime TV, with pot product placement already a reality on Hollywood sets.
Cheryl Shuman, a Los Angeles-based marketing and public relations consultant who -- not coincidentally -- founded a medical marijuana collective, has embarked on a campaign to update the image of the stereotypical dope smoker.
She wants to replace visions of dreadlocked surfer-types taking hits from tie-dyed bongs with snapshots of what she portrays as the modern-day marijuana enthusiast: middle-class soccer moms revving up their pocket vaporizers after the children are in bed and suit-clad professionals taking the edge off the day.
“The High Times generation that came with all their pot leafs and all that, they’re there, but the new weed consumer is a successful, professional and most likely female client,” said Shuman, who represents several companies that manufacture smoking gadgets and consults with television and...

My favorite song on Demi Lovato's album "Unbroken" is every song that sounds like it belongs in a late 90's early 2000's dance movie about a ballet dancer who discovers that she is too short for the ballet but that her songs, style and routines can be just as good if not better when remixed with some hip-hop to be a little more contemporary. What better a way than to write a sample of the script containing the music?

You’ve certainly heard of the “planking” trend. Well now allow us to introduce you to the next big thing: Dog Planking. The concept is simple: Get your dog to “plank.” It’s pretty easy for the most part. You just have to convince your dog to lay still for more than 15 seconds for it to qualify. And yet, we could only locate 4 “dog planking” videos online. 4. Chihuahua Dog Plank 3. Dog Doesn’T Want To Take Bath Plank 2. Dog Sleeping On Couch Plank 1. Daintiest Dog Plank With thanks to Internet And Other Things Guru Brendan Kennedy.

I love wine. Love it!! Wine might be one of the best inventions to come out of ancient Italy since mandals*. (*None of this sentence is historically accurate.) Wine makes a lady do crazy things, like flirt with fire hydrants and buy already scratched off lottery tickets. There is very little on Earth that I would swap wine for, really only one thing, that thing being a chinchilla, preferably alive and not stitched together into a fur coat with train. So you can imagine why this video has my mercury levels hitting Omg… Chinchillas In Wine Glasses aka Wine Chillas: I want to attach these guys to a pair of flats and instantly transform into Karl Lagerfeld from the ankle down. They are so adorable and delicious! I’m not saying I would dip them in ranch at a sports bar butttttttt I think you guys know what I am saying.

Full Disclosure: I didn’t see Tron. Mainly because I was deterred by friends who saw it who said “Don’t see Tron.” Now, as a fan of Daft Punk, who composed the Tron soundtrack, I was conflicted about this. But as an equally enthusiastic fan of eleven dollars, I just couldn’t part ways with movie ticket money that could easily feed a family of one (me) for lunch. And so, Tron was immediately put at the bottom of my Netflix queue, a service I do not even subscribe to. Thankfully, Daft Punk has made up for CGI’d Jeff Bridges by releasing this strange music video for their song “Alive.” The video was directed by actor Emile Hirsch, and is a coming-of-age tale about some skinny dude in Venice, CA looking to gain some muscle weight. The beginning is a little hard to get through, and the middle is even more difficult.

Today marks the four year anniversary of "American Idol in 60 Seconds." Deep breath.
To celebrate, we've re-posted the first "Idol in 60 Seconds" I ever produced. (In 2008, most of my early recaps were taken down thanks to a change in our video encoding process.) It's funny to think that only a few hundred people saw this four years ago when it premiered.
As you can see, not much has changed in the snark-a-second formula. Hell, I'm still sitting at the same cluttered desk. (Seriously, MTV? Will you ever give me an actual office?)
The rest is history, as they say. By my count, I've done 101 more "60 Second" entries since, summarizing everything from :Project Runway" to "Trl," from Al Gore's "Live Earth" concerts to actual elections, from Paula Abdul's gonzo Bravo reality show to Kelly Clarkson's "My December" drama.
The recap segment has been praised by "Idol" winners, Bravo...

Martha Stewart

Media mogul Martha Stewart is renowned as an authority on all things domestic, but don't count out her musical prowess. The homemaking doyenne recently sat down with MTV News in the midst of our Hottest MCs countdown so, of course, we had to check in with Stewart to see who she thinks is currently ruling the hip-hop world.
One might think an East Coast-bred lady like Stewart would perhaps choose a New York Mc but instead, she named some of the Midwest's finest as her favorite lyricists.
"I don't know if he's in the game but I think so 'cause he has an album that's, like, close to the top of the charts. It's always been Eminem.

Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift have all had phenomenal success over the past year, as evidenced by their multiple Grammy Awards. But by the end of Sunday's awards show only one of these ladies can go home as the ultimate Grammy diva. Gossip blogger Perez Hilton told us his predictions about the epic ladies' night.
"I definitely have my Grammy favorites," he told MTV News. "Most definitely: number one Lady Gaga and number two Taylor Swift and number three Beyoncé. It's all about the ladies this year."
But who will win the most? "What's great is Beyoncé, Gaga and Taylor Swift were nominated for so many awards each, they probably will all win," he said. "So it's going to be a night...

Perez Hilton, "American Idol" creator Simon Fuller and tour director Jamie King are making sure the guys they choose for their online contest, "The Boy Band for the Next Generation!," aren't just any run-of-the-mill guys — they have to have it all. They must know how to dance and they must know how to sing — in fact, they will accept nothing less than a new crop of Justin Timberlakes to fill all the spots.
"Ours will hopefully be better than all other boy bands before because we want five Justin Timberlakes," Hilton told MTV News. "We want them all to be able to sing, all strong vocalists. We want them all to be able to dance, and we don't want...

In 2009, Justin Bieber vowed to leave the world with one less lonely girl and gave fans a taste of what his life is like with his platinum-selling album, My World. And in 2010 the teen sensation has no plans to slow it down.
In March he will release the follow-up to his debut, the aptly titled My World (Part II), before taking his act on the road, which is sure to cause girls everywhere to go into a state of constant screaming.
