Laurence Kirk was the pseudonym used by British author and short story
writer Eric Andrew Simson. In the 1930s Simson served as an officer
aboard the British destroyer Tremendous and later wrote "A Cargo of
Innocence", that told of the use of the HMS Tremendous as a refugee
ship during the Spanish Civil War. Simson also wrote "One More River"
(1929), "Flight Errant" (1930), "Whispering Tongues" (1934), "The Farm
At Santa Fe" also titled "The Farm At Paranao" (1935), "Rings On Her
Finger "(1936), "Treasure On Earth" (1937), "Red Herrings, Ltd" (1940),
"The Gale Of The World" (1948), "Matrimonial Causes" (1949] along with
a number of short stories that were published in magazines or
periodicals.
