Markus Lofstrom was born in Vienna, Austria, and came to the United
States on a stand-by flight at the tender age of 20 to pursue a career
in the movies. He earned a scholarship and studied film under Alexander
Mackendrick ("Sweet Smell of Success", "The Ladykillers") at California
Institute of the Arts. He served as an editor on over a dozen short
films and the feature "The Last Big Thing" by Dan Zukovic. Markus has
authored five feature length scripts and co-wrote eight more. Since
2010 he has been dedicating himself to the Art of Visual Effects and
recently finished work on the feature film "Stealing Las Vegas" by
Francisco Menendez. Markus is also an accomplished Software Engineer,
he lives in Seattle with his wife Robin and three adorable, challenging
children.
