In 1899 he became a Member of the Six Brothers Luck in music hall until 1909.
Made his reputation on stage in the 1920's and 30's as slapstick character Jimmy Josser.

He formed his own sketch revue company becoming well known as the character Jimmy Josser in variety and films.
He became well known as a Pantomime dame.
He made his music hall debut as Don Roy at the Tivoli, Dover in 1898.
