Manchester United have arguably struck The deal of the summer in signing Radamel Falcao on loan from As Monaco. The shock move came about this morning with Falcao tipped heavily to move to the Premier League, with Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal all keen on signing him from the Ligue 1 club.
But in the end it’s United who are the lucky side, with the Red Devils agreeing a £6 million move at midday. The Colombian is now expected to fly into Manchester to undergo a medical and agree personal terms and is expected in the city at ten to 5 this afternoon, according to talkSPORT radio.
The reaction to Falcao’s transfer to United has been so far positive with 90% of the fans who completed our poll believing the prolific marksman will be a hit at Old Trafford, with only 10% expressing concern over the move.

Despite reports that Man City had a private jet waiting at Nice airport ready to fly Falcao over to England to join them, it looks like both they and Arsenal have been pipped to the signing of the Colombian by Manchester United.
According to Sky Sports’ resident Spanish expert Guillem Balague, United have already agreed a £65m deal to sign the striker from Monaco, and he will definitely be joining Louis Van Gaal’s revolution at Old Trafford.
At the minute there is some confusion as the Press Association are suggesting that it would still be a £20m loan deal. Sky Sports also suggest that the deal is in fact a loan deal, and not a permanent one. Eventually someone will presumably seek actual confirmation from the club.

Liverpool’s attempt to sign a striker continue onwards. After Loic Remy either failed a medical or pulled a switcheroo on his wage demands, depending on who you listen to, Brendan Rodgers has been scouring the imaginary Lonely Hearts pages for a striker with experience, fitness and a Gsoh to join his new Champions League project.
So far, that search has proved fruitless, but there was a glimmer in the collected eye of all Liverpool fans as news trickled in that the club might be looking at a cheeky bid to try and bring Falcao to Anfield from Monaco. That now looks to be over, as the Colombian tank has made it very clear that he is destined to sign for Real Madrid, and line up with both James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema to form one of the most fearsome strike-forces in the world,...

Colombia’s World Cup prospects hang in the balance after star striker Radamel Falcao suffered cruciate ligament damage whilst playing for As Monaco in a French Cup tie in midweek.
The 27-year-old was a £50 million summer signing from Atletico Madrid for Claudio Ranieri and is now set to miss at least the rest of the season. Falcao has already gone under the knife, and has been backed by the surgeon who operated on him to come back in time to make Brazil.
Usually speaking, knee ligament injuries take six to nine months to recover from. This means Colombia national coach Jose Pekerman needs to have a contingency plan no matter how optimistic doctors are.
Falcao netted nine times in qualifying for his country. That amounted to a third of the total scored by Colombia as they finished as runners up to Argentina in the South America section.

Washington, Dec 22: Humans have the ability to split their focus and pay attention on more than one thing at a time, a new study has revealed.
The team recorded the activity of single neurons in the brains of two monkeys while the animals concentrated on two objects that circumvented a third 'distracter' object. The neural recordings showed that attention can in fact, be split into two 'spotlights' corresponding to the relevant objects and excluding the in-between distracter.
"One implication of these findings is that our brain has evolved to attend to more than one object in parallel, and therefore to multi-task," Julio Martinez-Trujillo, a cognitive neurophysiology specialist from McGill University and lead author of the.
