She was married to Schuyler A. Sanford, Henry Walsh Knight and David Sharpe. She died on November 8, 1995 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.

- Child actress, in films from 1915. First worked at Universal, where her father had a job as a carpenter. Was often teamed with her brother Melvin (aka Buddy Messinger). From 1917 had leading roles in the "Fox Kiddies" series of short comedies. Appeared in feature films during the 1920's, including several directed by Cecil B. DeMille. Mostly acted in two- and three-reel comedy series, which included "Johnny Jones" for Pathe and "Drugstore Cowboys" for Universal. Except for a few bit parts, she retired from the screen after 1939.
