11.23 Alpha And Omega
With a Road So Far and a Carry On My Wayward Son, we’re at the eleventh season finale of Supernatural. Amara has shaken off the attack from the angels, demons and witches, ripped Lucifer from Cas’ body and mortally wounded Chuck. And yet God dying isn’t the only problem that the Winchesters must face. Amara, by slowly killing God, is killing the Sun and bringing literal darkness to the planet as the dark/light balance she and her brother represent is thrown out of whack. The solution appears to be killing Amara and the gang come up with a plan to convert Dean into a bomb, harnessing the power of souls to blast Amara away.

On a routine werewolf hunt, Sam and Dean tussle with the culprits whilst tied-up hostages look weakly on. Surprised by a werewolf they thought was dead, Sam is shot in the stomach and badly wounded. They’re stranded in a forest with no signal and little hope with two wounded people, one of whom is Sam and the other is the second hostage, Michelle. Her husband, Corbin, is desperate to keep her safe and goes to extraordinary lengths to do so, suffocating Sam and seemingly killing him in order to convince Dean to leave him behind and get them all to safety.
