In the Babylon 5 (1993) episode "Midnight On The Firing Line", Douglas Netter
appears in a photo on a monitor as president "Louis Santiago".
Fans of Babylon 5 (1993) named the serious frustration caused by the series' many cliffhangers "the EPDN-effect". This comes from the words
"Executive Producer Douglas Netter", which come first in the closing
credits.
Mr. Netter was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
at MGM Studios from 1970 to 1975.
His daughter, a Netter company director and also former Harpo Productions producer, is Kate Forte.
Doug Netter's son is Gil Netter, a producer, known for Life of Pi (2012), The Blind Side (2009) and Phone Booth (2002).
