The phrase “go big or go home” seems appropriate for a new 3-part series about the quest to build the perfect, most epic American grill. Hosted by Tekzilla’s Patrick Norton, America’s Finest Grill was created by Discovery Digital Networks in conjunction with Ball Park. In the style of Extreme Home Makeover (but on a much smaller scale), the branded entertainment series features Norton who, inspired by Park’s Finest hotdogs by Ball Park, approaches a local engineer firm called TechShop to build the best possible grill to complement the classic summer dish. The result is an overblown, Americana-themed grill which boasts not just the grill portion, but also a wireless sound system controlled by BlueTooth, beer taps on top of a mini fridge, a Mount Rushmore-themed condiment dish, custom seating for eight guests, and more. Oh, and this is all sitting on top a red, white, and blue 19-foot trailer.

Discovery's Revision3 network has released a branded web series that combines Subaru vehicles, charity, and crazy design ideas. It's called Second Chance Subaru, and it features a team of engineers who renovate old cars with new, unique additions catered to their owners' respective needs. Second Chance Subaru features three Subaru owners who have dedicated their lives to charity. One episode centers around a nature conservationist, a second focuses on a man who transports bicycles for children with physical disabilities, and the third features a woman who leads children on camping trips. Each Subaru has more than 100,000 miles on it, and so host Patrick Norton (who also hosts several other shows on the Revision3 network) rewards his guests by giving each car a makeover that allows its owner to further his or her charitable exploits. All three episodes are available on the Revision3's website and YouTube channel. Fellow Discovery digital...

It was the end of an era this week over on G4. Their Attack of the Show! series came to a close after more than 1,700 episodes on the air. The show's cancellation was announced late last year as part of the plan to rebrand G4 as the Esquire Channel, focusing on programming for "metrosexual viewers."
Back in March 2005, Attack of the Show! replaced The Screen Savers, a beloved computer and tech help show that started back when the channel was known as TechTV. Over its seven year run, the Screen Savers hosts included Leo Laporte, Patrick Norton, Kate Botello, Kevin Rose, Alex Albrecht, and Sarah Lane.
After it was announced that Attack of the Show! would be ending, producer Joshua Brentano contacted Laporte and Norton about filming a special sketch for the last episode.

Revision3's Rev3Games has quickly become one of the most likeable and entertaining gaming news teams on the Internet. The channel's three hosts--Tara Long, Max Scoville, and Anthony Carboni--recently made news by hosting a 24-hour gaming marathon for charity. Today, that terrific trio became a fearsome foursome. Revision3 has announced that veteran gaming host Adam Sessler will join the network as an executive producer, where he will step in as a regular contributor to Rev3Games. Sessler made a name for himself as a host of the humorous video game reviews show X-Play. Sessler was a host for over 14 years on X-Play, and he followed the show from TechTV to G4, where he and co-host Morgan Webb were a popular pair. Sessler left G4 in 2012, and by moving to Rev3Games he will be reunited with several of his former TechTV colleagues, including HD Nation and Tekzilla...

/Film was featured on Revision 3's internet tech show Tekzilla as one of their "Website We Just Can't Get Enough Of". I want to thank hosts Patrick Norton and Robert Heron for featuring us on the show. It's such an honor to hear people I've watched and respected for so long say nice things about /Film. When I traveled across country to San Francisco nearly a decade ago, I forced my friends to come with me to a live taping of The Screen Savers. This was before TechTV became G4, and before the once great call-in-tech show was turned into Attack of the Show. I use to watch the Screen Savers nearly everyday, and have followed Patrick and Robert through the many mutations over the years, be it Dl TV, This Week in Tech, or Techzilla. Thanks guys! Watch the clip embedded after the jump.

It's kind of surprising that it took this long actually. Hosted web series are everywhere these days, reviewing everything from comicbooks, movies, video games and even street food vendors. So it's only fitting that the this month has seen the launch of two new smart phone application review web series—Revision3's new series, AppJudgment, and indie entry iPhun. AppJudgment is an in-house creation that will rotate hosts through known Rev3 personalities like co-founder David Prager, iFanBoy host Ron Richards, and TekZilla and HD Nation host Patrick Norton. The new series joins the network's growing slate of tech and internet friendly hosted web series which includes standout hit Diggnation. Cranking out about 6 million views per month, Revision3 as a network has the edge here in terms of reach. But don't rule out the iPhun.tv series which has its own heavyweight team behind it—internet 'troublemaker' Sean Bonner hosting, web series vet Rudy Jahchan (Galacticast,...

Now that the switch has finally been thrown, marking the end of analogue television and the beginning of the all-digital era, HDTVs are flying off the shelves. But which equipment should you buy? And what content should you enjoy on it? HD Nation might be the perfect show for answering that question. HD Nation is the latest web series from San Francisco-based internet TV network, Revision3 (the good people that bring you Diggnation, Tekzilla, Film Riot), and even though the show itself is only available online, its mission statement is to be a guide to the best in HD content, no matter where it comes from: over-the-air, online, Blu-Ray. Allow me to pitch a potential tag: “If it’s in HD, it’s on HD Nation.” (Call my agent if you like it.) The hosting duties are filled by Robert Heron and Tekzilla host Patrick Norton , both former anchors of tech news/reviews show Dl.
