- Long dark hair
- Tux tail coats he often wore on stage
- Range and diverse singing style
- Parents are both Portuguese.
- Perry's 1984 music video "Foolish Heart" is unique in that it doesn't have a single editorial cut - a most unusual facet given the frenetic structure of music videos in general. Perry's video begins with a static camera, a long shot of a boomed mic situated in a hall lit by an overhead spotlight. Perry walks into the shot, sits on a tall stool and sings into the mic. Over the course of just over 4 minutes, the camera tracks forward slowly, eventually ending up with a tight shot of Perry still singing. Then the camera reverses slowly back to where it started. Perry walks out of the shot - end of video.
- Former lead singer of the rock band Journey.
- Learned how to speak Portuguese from his grandmother.
- Journey was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Recording at 6750 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.
- I have simply said that there's just a side of me that could not judge anybody singing. It's not who I am. I don't want to be that person.
- I'm no spring chicken. The same arthritis that ate up my left hip that finally got replaced hasn't stopped there... And touring is a lot of work. I'm impressed when I see people like Eric Clapton out there. Gee whiz, Eric, give me a break! I know it's gotta hurt somewhere.
- There may or may not be a God or gods; the Siblings do not concern themselves with proving or disproving such a thing. By definition, gods are more powerful than men, and thus quite able to fend for themselves without help.
- I'm so hard on myself. I play these sketches in my computer for friends and they say 'Gee whiz, the vocal's beautiful.' I hear, 'It needs to be better.'
- There's always a price for what you want.
