David-Michael Petragnani is a performing arts & entertainment industry
veteran, with professional experience covering all realms of media.
Starting at the early age of 14, some of David-Michael's numerous
credits have included film, television and the theatre. David-Michael
was born and raised in Syracuse, New York into a very supportive and
creative Italian-American family. With a humble start in theatre as a
set painter, David-Michael decided to set his goals one day to produce.
David-Michael has produced & directed Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat, Some Enchanted Evening, Sleuth and Chorus Line,
to name a few. He has also worked on the stage in Bells Are Ringing,
Fiddler on the Roof and has appeared as James in Jesus Christ Superstar
for two Lenten seasons. Mr. Petragnani has produced & directed the
television pilot True Ghost Stories and the documentary Miracle of
Medugorie shot on location in Yugoslavia. He has also worked on
numerous music videos & commercials, and he produced the feature film
_Shottas (2001)_ starring Wyclef Jean (The Fugees), Ky-Mani Marley and Louie
Rankin (Belly) which premiered at the 2002 Toronto Film Festival to
rave reviews and Tony Touch's Scarface inspired music video for Warner
Brother's Tommy Boy Label featuring Angel Salazar (Scarface). Mr.
Petragnani is the Founder & CEO of the New York City based Nomad Film
Group. He has also had extensive film festival experience, including
work with the Palm Beach Film Festival and Fort Lauderdale Film
Festival. He founded the New York Italian Film Festival with honorary
board members Penny Marshall, James Gandolfini, Quentin Tarantino,
Barbara DeFina, Michael Impierioli and Stanley Tucci, to name a few. In
addition to his impressive repertoire, Mr. Petragnani is an avid
photographer, painter, part-time poet and sometime chef. He enjoys
music, tennis, opera, skiing, traveling, art... and living in New York
City.
