Pike alludes to his use of a pseudonym in his novel The Eternal Dawn where a character shares things in common with Pike, e.g a writer who doesn't make public appearances, or do book signings and his picture doesn't appear on his books, and if it's an accurate portrayal of Pike, than he also hates funerals and tends to avoid them, plays computer games, orders lots of room service so he can give most of it to the homeless, donate money to charity and give away royalties, he's not much of a crier and hasn't a stomach for violence or prying. The character laments the lead character Alisa's passing in The Eternal Dawn, probably meaning Pike felt she were part of his world too.
