Pirates of the Caribbean 6 discussions are mostly centered around the potential return of Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, despite the producer confirming it as a reboot project. Disney dropped Depp from the role after the actor was accused of domestic violence. However, the producer of the films, Jerry Bruckheimer, always supported the actor and advocated for his return to the role. He once again reiterated his wish during a recent interview.

“Exterminate all the brutes!” With these words, borrowed from Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness, Hunter S. Thompson concluded his violent, macabre 1967 book Hell’s Angels: A Strange and Terrible Saga. Thompson had spent months with the outlaw biker gang and ultimately paid for his persistence when members gave him a brutal beatdown (which, Thompson being Thompson, he seemed to enjoy just a little). The king of Gonzo had gotten closer to the Angels’ inner sanctum than just about anyone else had, a feat that the new A&e docuseries Secrets of the Hells Angels...

Johnny Depp is undoubtedly one of the biggest actors in the world right now, who made a name for himself in iconic films such as Edward Scissorhands, Donnie Brasco, and of course – Pirates of The Caribbean. With that said, the new Pirates of the Caribbean report without Johnny Depp has only proven one of Hollywood’s problematic trends which are prevalent now.

Scalper doesn’t tell a particularly original story but it doesn’t really need to because it is definitely going for a modern take on the eighties slasher. In the movie we discover that everyone around the psychic Clementine Carter (Susan Priver) is being murdered by a masked killer dubbed ‘The Scalper’. She must use her psychic abilities (and occasional help from the police) to work out if this is a copycat killer or the murderer Andrew Lubitz back from the dead.

Exclusive: Tracey Jacobs will end a 25-year run at UTA next year.
One of the most accomplished Hollywood talent agents of her era, Jacobs will stay on for the next several months to help with the transition of her clients and serve as an adviser to the company. She hasn’t set her next move yet, and her exit is an amicable one.
Jacobs left ICM to join United Talent Agency as a partner in 1998. She has blazed a trail for agents in Hollywood and in particular female agents, who had little voice in the hierarchy of a male-dominated industry when she came to UTA. She became the first woman to serve on an agency board when she took that post 15 years ago, and she served as the longtime head of UTA’s talent department.

Earlier this month, a serial killer thriller called Squealer was given a theatrical and digital release. You can watch the trailer for that one Here. Squealer drew inspiration from the story of Robert Pickton, a Canadian pig farmer who was charged with killing 26 women (but claimed to have killed 49). He would feed the bodies of his victims to the pigs. Just a couple weeks after Squealer made its way out into the world, another serial killer thriller inspired by the Pickton case has arrived in theatres, and you can watch the trailer for this one, which is called Pig Killer, in the embed above.

Given how outlandish and enormous the "Fast & Furious" film series would eventually become, it's a little mind-boggling to remember that Rob Cohen's 2001 original, "The Fast and the Furious," was little more than a mid-budget "Point Break" knockoff. The story goes that star Paul Walker, having enjoyed working with Cohen on the 2000 college thriller "The Skulls" was asked what his dream action project would be. Walker said that he wanted to appear in an action movie mashup of "Days of Thunder" and "Donnie Brasco." That is: something with fast cars, but also a cop who goes undercover to infiltrate the criminal underground. The subsequent screenplay, written by Gary Scott Thompson, drew inspiration from a 1998 article in Vibe Magazine all about the New York underground racing scene. David Ayer was brought in to work on a draft, and he changed the setting to Los Angeles and made the cast more diverse.

Anne Heche died in August 2022 following a fiery car accident. The starlet’s crash, which occurred before noon on Aug. 5, 2022, destroyed a home, caused a fire, and left firefighters battling for nearly an hour to free Heche from the wreckage. Heche remained hospitalized following the crash before ultimately succumbing to her injuries. Months after her death, an official toxicology report revealed whether or not Heche was driving under the influence.
Anne Heche’s car accident was not caused by the use of illegal substances
Inhalation and thermal injuries were cited as Heche’s official cause of death. That cause was released to the public in mid-August, less than two weeks after the crash. Despite the release of some information, toxicology reports were still pending. Because of the speed at which Heche was traveling and comments made on her podcast, theories that she was under the influence at the time of the crash circulated the internet.

Fans of Anne Heche will get one last television performance from the actor, who died at age 53 last year. Heche’s final posthumous TV appearance airs tonight, Saturday, September 30, on the OWN legal drama All Rise, according to TVLine. Saturday’s episode, titled “Trouble Woman,” will feature the return of Heche’s lawyer Corinne Cuthbert, TVLine reports. The site also notes that the episode will end with a dedication reading, “In Memory of Anne Heche / Our Friend and Wonderful Artist / You Are Missed.” CBS Heche started recurring in All Rise in Season 2, with her character frequently clashing with Judge Lola Carmichael (Simone Missick). Sometimes, when you’re looking to be entertained, only a thriller will cut it. If you ever find yourself feeling like life is getting inexplicably dark, and morality is becoming more ambiguous, immersing yourself in a tense world of serial killers, terrorists, and crooked sleazebags of all kinds is a pretty great form of escapism. The genre is broad enough to encompass a wide variety of tropes, so you could probably watch thrillers forever and never get bored.
Netflix’s thriller offerings are surprisingly well-rounded, offering a good mix of undisputed classics from the likes of Quentin Tarantino and Paul Greengrass as well as newer indie flicks that you may have missed. Whether you’re looking to revisit an old favorite, fill an embarrassing gap in your movie knowledge, or find something new and cutting-edge that will blow your mind, the genre always has something for you. It started with a simple little movie about street racing, based on a magazine article, with a cast of young people who weren’t very well-known and action scenes that are relatively grounded. That movie has somehow spawned multiple sequels and a spin-off. Along the way, those further installments have gotten bigger, crazier, and more over-the-top, while earning over six billion dollars at the worldwide box office. The movie we’re talking about is the 2001 release The Fast and the Furious (watch it Here) – and it’s time for it to be Revisited.

Beloved by moviegoers for decades, the mafia film genre typically centers around key players that make up the world of organized crime in various contexts, locations, and cultures, with a sprinkle of family life and a generous serving of violence included in the storylines. The genre traces back to the early beginnings of film, but was popularized by directors like Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese in the 1970s and beyond.
Over the years, the mafia genre has continued to defy stereotypes and include elements from different film genres, like suspense or comedy. The latest mafia-related film, "Mafia Mamma," which hit theaters on April 14, presents a traditional look at the Italian mafia, with a refreshing, comedic tone delivered by Toni Collette and Monica Bellucci. In the film, Colette's character, Kristin, unexpectedly inherits her estranged grandfather's mafia empire in Calabria, Italy, and has to assume the role of mob boss...

A kidnapping in Rome sets off events that have all three “FBI” teams banding together in a three-hour event on Tuesday, April 4. Jeremy Sisto’s character, special agent Jubal Valentine, jets from the New York Field office to Italy to help out “FBI: International” star Scott Forrester, who’s played by Luke Kleintank. Meanwhile, Stuart Scola (John Boyd) goes undercover and teams up with Remy Scott (Dylan McDermott) of “FBI: Most Wanted” to stop a mass-casualty terror attack in New York City.
Ahead of the episode, Sisto told TheWrap what to expect from Jubal being a “fish out of water” overseas without his usual team around him, his theory on why his character speaks Italian, and which actor he’d like to play Jubal’s Italian grandfather should a future storyline require it.

We’ve had flesh eaters populating so many cinema screens, it’s sometimes difficult for zombie movies to portray a world wherein zombie movies don’t exist. MexZombies, a horror comedy out of Mexico taking its festival tour now to the Toronto After Dark Film Fest, doesn’t ever try to ignore zombie movies, but instead, treats them as important information for the characters. MexZombies plays to those of us who made our contingency plans after consuming zombie media and maybe kind of secretly hoped we’d be validated when the monsters showed up, making our movie geekdom suddenly incredibly cool and tough.

Late film star Anne Heche, who died in August 2022 at age 53, spent the last year of her life penning a new memoir, “Call Me Anne.”
A follow-up to her 2001 book “Call Me Crazy,” the memoir will be released by Start Publishing in January 2023. An excerpt from the upcoming memoir includes Heche discussing her relationship with Ellen DeGeneres, whom she dated in the late 1990s.
“I was labeled ‘outrageous’ because I fell in love with a woman. I had never been with a woman before I dated Ellen,” Heche wrote. She added that she was effectively blacklisted in Hollywood due to the fact that she was part of one of the few openly-gay relationships in the industry.
Jarred Weisfeld, the independent book publisher behind Hoboken, New Jersey-based company Start, confirmed that he signed a deal with Heche in May 2022 and that she had turned in a manuscript for the memoir shortly before her death.

Actress Anne Heche has been pronounced brain dead in a Los Angeles hospital at the age of 53, it emerged today. Her body is being kept alive so that her organs can be donated, but with severe head injuries. she cannot recover consciousness.
The 53-year-old had reportedly taken cocaine and possibly fentanyl when she hit pedestrians and crashed her car into a house, setting it on fire, on Friday 5 August. As well as head injuries, she suffered lung damage and third degree burns.
Heche made a big splash early in her career, with roles in Donnie Brasco, Volcano and Wag The Dog, but her career suffered after she became romantically involved with Ellen DeGeneres at a time when same sex relationships were almost invisible in Hollywood. She credited Harrison Ford with refusing to tolerate prejudice and insisting that she be cast in Six Days Seven Nights. Later she moved.

The 53-year-old actress will certainly be remembered for her decades-long career that included everything from big-budget romantic comedies ("Six Days and Seven Nights") to classic slasher flicks ("I Know What You Did Last Summer"). But one of Heche's very best performances required absolutely nothing other than her voice, and it was a performance capable of moving one to tears. This is something I can attest to personally.
