- Peter Rafelson is a writer/producer working in the music & film business. Born in Manhattan, New York, October 30th, 1960, Peter grew up and went to music schools in Los Angeles & Colorado. He is the son of famed film director Bob Rafelson. Peter has written many successful songs including Open Your Heart - a #1 hit for Madonna. He is now working out of his own Rafelson Media Studios and has is own record label, RM Records/Universal Music Group, publishing company, Rafelson Music (ASCAP). Peter continues to act, write, produce and direct.
