- Blues guitarist Duke Robillard was born in 1948 in Woonsocket, RI. He was a blues aficionado and in 1967 began a blues band, Roomful of Blues. Although it had a following in New England and even cut a few albums, the band couldn't break nationally, and Robillard disbanded it in 1979. He formed a new band, The Duke Robillard Band (later changed to Duke Robillard and the Pleasure Kings). The band cut a few albums in the 1980s.
In 1990 Robillard replaced Jimmie Vaughan in The Fabulous Thunderbirds. In 1992 he left that band and formed one of his own.- IMDb Mini Biography By: frankfob2@yahoo.com
