- Jonathan Routh was born on November 24, 1927 in Gosport, Hampshire, England, UK. He was a writer and actor, known for Casino Royale (1967), Not So Much a Programme, More a Way of Life (1964) and International Cabaret (1964). He was married to Shelagh Routh and Nandi Heckroth. He died on June 4, 2008 in Jamaica.

- Jonathan married Nandi Heckroth (daughter of Hein Heckroth) in 1948. They had two sons, Christian Routh and Jodi Routh, and divorced in 1969. Nandi died in a car crash in 1972.
- He turned to painting in later years with his favorite subjects being Queen Victoria and nuns. His paintings were often incorporated for a series of children's books. He lived the rest of his life in Jamaica as an eccentric recluse.
