R. Kelly pleaded not guilty Monday morning to all 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse the singer is facing.
At a hearing at a Chicago courthouse, Judge Lawrence Flood was assigned the Kelly case; over the weekend, following Kelly’s arrest, there was speculation that Judge Vincent Gaughan, who presided over the singer’s 2008 trial, would again oversee the latest charges against Kelly.

As R. Kelly spends another night in jail Sunday, stemming from the 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse he was charged with on Friday, one of his lawyers says the singer is “disappointed by the unsubstantiated allegations.”
Kelly turned himself in to Chicago police on Friday night after he was accused of “sexual penetration” of multiple women “at least 13 years of age but under 17 years of age,” per the indictment by the Cook County State’s Attorney. The age of consent in Illinois is 17 years old.

A review of tonight's "Fargo" coming up just as soon as I tell you to kiss my grits... "This kind of thing didn't work in Westerns, and it's not gonna work tonight." -Lou Howard Hawks' 1959 Western "Rio Bravo" didn't invent the idea of lawmen protecting a jail from outlaws looking to free one of their own. (After all, that trope's just a subset of the fort under siege premise that fueled so many Westerns.) But the movie was so entertaining(*) and so successful that Hawks and star John Wayne remade it twice more (as "El Dorado" and "Rio Lobo"), and it's served as inspiration to various unofficial remakes over the years, whether "Assault on Precinct 13," a recent episode of "Banshee," and tonight's crackling installment of "Fargo." (*) Even the musical interlude, designed to take advantage of the primary talents of Wayne's co-stars Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson, is fun.

Earlier this week, IndieWire's Sam Adams interviewed me, Mo Ryan, and Tim Goodman about the increasingly strange and outdated practice of reviewing new shows based just on the pilot episode. At one point, Sam asked what was the wrongest I ever was about a show's quality based on the pilot episode. I didn't have a great answer for that one, since I have a pretty good Spidey sense about when pilots aren't to be trusted (case in point: "Studio 60"), but I did think of an answer to a related question: What show was I most wrong in predicting its commercial success based on the pilot? The answer to that one's easy, and timely, because the show in question is airing a series finale special Sunday night at 9: "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." It's not that I was predicting its outright failure or anything. I actually found the pilot interesting...

It's the fourth round of blind auditions this week, which means more high notes, more tears and most importantly, more Twitter debate over Rita Ora's hair.
Following on from last week's Welsh invasion, a mournful version of 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)' and the return of Esmée Denters, we now have a man calling himself the Soho Hobo and Dawn 'with-the-horn'. She's a trumpet player, obviously.
Spiral: BBC Four, 9pm
The French crime drama, starring Caroline Proust and Philippe Duclos, continues with another double bill of murder and grit.
This week, everyone has to find the time to grieve following last week's emotional events, while keeping it together and solving the murder of a woman and her child. In the second episode, beginning at 9.55pm, Laure digs into Sandrine Jaulin's family history, discovering more than she bargained for in the process.

When reviewing CSI: Complete Season 13 the most noticeable thing is it is a show that survives not only by pure popularity, but that it constantly adapts itself, never letting itself stagnate.

A 300th episode is a milestone extremely few series get to celebrate.
Maybe that doesn't seem as surprising for a drama that has spent much of its run heralded as "the most popular show in the world," but it's a major moment for "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" nevertheless.
The globally successful Anthony E. Zuiker-created procedural -- which inspired much of what CBS' prime-time schedule has looked like for the past decade-plus -- marks the event Wednesday, Oct. 23, with a story that acknowledges "CSI" history in a number of ways. The plot revisits a cold case from the Las Vegas forensics team's early days, and founding co-star Marg Helgenberger (who will be back on CBS weekly this winter in "Intelligence") returns as Catherine Willows.
Paul Guilfoyle, alias Capt. Jim Brass, has been with "CSI" from the start. "It's kind of an abstract number," the actor reasons to Zap2it of reaching the 300th tale.

Don't call Ted Danson and John Ratzenberger "Sam" and "Cliff" ... at least not this time.
The actors who co-starred for 11 seasons on the classic sitcom "Cheers" reunite Wednesday (Oct. 9) on Danson's current series, CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," in a story that echoes a real-life 2003 tragedy. Ratzenberger plays the owner of a nightclub where a fire takes four lives, prompting D.B. Russell (Danson) and his forensics team to investigate.

"First off, it was like, 'We haven't seen each other in a while. What's this going to be like?'" Danson tells Zap2it. "I was a bit nervous, but it was like falling off a log and getting back on. It was so sweet. We hung out in my trailer between shots and just reminisced and caught up with each other."

On the surface, the Season 14 premiere of CSI may feel a bit familiar.
After all, the show's premiere one year ago found the team searching for a team member's abducted loved one. And while this year, D.B. Russell (Ted Danson) & Co. are trying to find kidnapped team member Morgan (Elisabeth Harnois) and Ellie (Teal Redmann) the daughter of Brass (Paul Guilfoyle), that's pretty much where the similarities end.

Cliff Clavin is going inside the yellow tape!
EW has learned that John Ratzenberger — who played the lovable mailman on Cheers — will reunite with his former co-star Ted Danson in a fall episode of CSI on CBS.
Ratzenberger will play a jaded, burned out club owner who’s been in the business for over 30 years, and he’s dazed when his business — and human lives — go up in smoke. And yep, he’ll get to play opposite Sammy Malone — er, we mean D.B. Russell (Danson).
The episode will air in October. CSI returns on Sept. 25.

Ted Danson's daughter Kate Danson is on the case at CSI. CBS has announced that the actress will guest star in the April 3 episode of her father's long-running hit. She'll play lawyer Jill McDermott in the installment where CSI's crack team of investigators go up against a serial killer. The opportunity to face off against night-shift supervisor D.B. Russell, played by the elder Danson, was a kick for her. "The CSI team have done something wrong," Kate told WENN. "So I come pretty hard at my dad and dig into him, which was a lot of fun to play. I was really fortunate to get to work with him on CSI. It was really great going head to head with him." Kate,...

Zap2it: Do you like doing series crossovers, as "CSI: NY" does with "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" this week?
Gary Sinise: I do. It's fun. I went to the "CSI: Miami" set when we did a crossover there, and [former "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" co-star] Laurence Fishburne came to our set, but I never went to the "CSI" Vegas set before. It was nice to go over there and work with those folks.
There are people there who have been on that show ever since it started, and they're happy and excited about doing the work. They still love it. They've had some cast changes there, but there's a consistency with some of the people. This is kind of a historic franchise in television history, and to be able to spend time with people who were there when it all started was fun.

It's not the first time "CSI" series have crossed over, but a couple of firsts are still involved.
Gary Sinise's Detective Mac Taylor leaves the Big Apple to visit his girlfriend Christine (Megan Dodds) in Las Vegas as a new story begins on CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" Wednesday (Feb. 6). The problem: When he arrives, she can't be found. The mystery comes to involve D.B. Russell (Ted Danson), leading him to follow Taylor back East as the tale concludes on "CSI: NY" Friday (Feb. 8).
Though Sinise was involved in two tales that merged his series with the now-finished "CSI: Miami," he's never been on the set of the Vegas-set parent drama before, And since Danson joined "CSI" only last season, this is his first opportunity to visit a related show, and also to work with fellow Emmy winner and acting veteran Sinise.
"He's such a sweet man," Danson tells Zap2it.

Once a year, America puts aside its preference for tasteful understatement and simple pleasures to celebrate everything that is good and loud about sports, television, violence, capitalism, and patriotism. It’s called the Super Bowl — a super… bowl — the clumsy but perfectly christened title for an American manufactured spectacular. The Ravens meet the 49ers tonight in New Orleans, but regardless of the outcome, the commercials will be analyzed, the enormous television audience will be documented, and the buffalo wings will be picked clean.

Ted Danson knows it isn't easy to land certain guest stars. Even his wife.
The current lead on CBS' Las Vegas-set "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" hoped his Oscar-winning spouse, Mary Steenburgen, might appear on the long-running Wednesday drama when he joined it last season. The scheduling ultimately didn't jell, and though he maintains "it's always a pleasure when we get to work together," he isn't sure when she might be available for that next.
"She's hard to pin down," the pleasant Danson confirms to Zap2it. "She's just finished a film, ironically called 'Last Vegas.' She plays the lounge singer Michael Douglas and Robert De Niro both fall in love with -- and she writes her own music now. She has a publishing deal with Universal Music, and she's been doing that for the last five years as well.

Navid Negahban is known to TV viewers as Homeland‘s formerly most-wanted terrorist. Now we’ll get to know him all over again on the set of CSI: NY.
This marks story two this week of a Homeland baddie getting recast elsewhere. Zuleikha Robinson has landed a guest spot on The Mentalist this season. Let’s face it, acting on Homeland is a very worthwhile resume bullet.
As for Negahban, CSI: NY fans will see him this February when he plays the part of a lifetime criminal. His character is named Zane Kalim, reports TV Guide, and take note because his appearance coincides with a major event for the series.
You have heard it right here that there will be a CSI, CSI: NY crossover event. It revolves around a missing person. Too bad, for Negahban’s Zane Kalim. I wouldn’t want to be hunted by both Gary Sinise...

The fictional world's most dangerous terrorist simply cannot be killed.
Navid Negahban - best known to Homeland fans as Abu Nazir - has landed a role on CSI: NY.
According to TV Guide, the actor will appear on the CSI/CSI: NY crossover event in February, coming on board as a criminal named Zane Kalim who is the only person with knowledge of where Mac's kidnapped girlfriend is being held.
Look for Negahban to interact - violently and angrily at times - with Gary Sinise.
CSI: NY resumes its latest season tonight, while this crossover special will first air on Wednesday, February 6 with CSI (and Mac arriving in Las Vegas to surprise Christine) and conclude two nights later when D.B. Russell flies to New York to assist in Mac's investigation.

Here’s one way to celebrate the Chinese New Year for 2013. Plan to watch a CSI and CSI: NY two-part crossover set to premier this coming February.
Can your television handle Gary Sinise and Ted Danson together?
This is how it will all go down. CSI starts things off the right way, initiating the storyline during the first hour. The all new episode will feature a visit from CSI: NY‘s lead detective, Mac Taylor, as acted by Gary Sinise, when he travels to Las Vegas to surprise his girlfriend Christine, acted by Megan Dodds. Romance kicks of the crossover, but a possible homicide fuels it from there. Christine winds up missing! Surely Ted Danson’s D.B. Russell can assist with the search.
The second hour is an all new episode of on CSI: NY, which unfolds as Russell heads back to New York with Mac when Christine’s trail...
