- Anthony-James Ryan was born on June 17, 1921 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA. He was a producer and actor, known for Black Snake (1973), Vixen! (1968) and Up! (1976). He was married to Jacqueline Stevens. He died on April 15, 2006 in Burbank, California, USA.

- Served with Russ Meyer in World War II as a U.S. Army combat photographer in the 166th Signal Photographic Company along with other future associates of Meyer, including Bill Teas and became a longtime friend and business associate of Meyer. He almost went broke financing some of Meyers' movies. He was also one of the trustees appointed to oversee Meyer's affairs when he became ill. He owned and operated Modern Studio Photography in Highland Park (Pasadena, California).
