He spent ten years in the SAS and was awarded the Military Medal for
his part in operation Bravo Two Zero during the first Gulf War. Sent
behind enemy lines, he had to escape, walking over 200 miles to
freedom.
During the Gulf War, he was the only member of the SAS Bravo Two Zero
patrol to cross the Syria border a free man. Of the eight man squad, 3
were killed and 4 captured.
