Following her actor/husband's death in 1979, she made a minor
'comeback' in the British TV series Roots (1981).
Joined RADA at the age of sixteen and made her stage debut in Brighton two years later.
Pretty 1940s and 1950s Brit radio and film actress who started off
promisingly in war-era films playing docile, ladylike co-stars but
remained on the periphery of stardom despite the high calibre of her
movies. Made six films with actor/husband Sydney Tafler, including No Room at the Inn (1948) and Once a Sinner (1950). Their daughter Jennifer Tafler also appeared in movies, and third child Jonathan Tafler is a performer.
