Exclusive: Film finance, production and sales outfit Vmi Worldwide is expanding into the U.S. distribution space, launching Vmi Releasing. In a partnership with Nela Media, Kendall Anlian has been tapped to head distribution for the new venture, which already has set its first release: the comedy Defining Moments, which is Burt Reynolds’ final film. It will now bow in theaters and VOD on August 27, 2021.
“Film distribution remains a complex space to navigate, particularly amidst this pandemic and the ever-changing landscape,” Vmi Worldwide CEO Andre Relis said. “We are thrilled to have Kendall Anlian join our team to lead the distribution venture. Her storied experience and forward-thinking acumen are the exact combination to successfully manage the distribution channels for our films and filmmaker partners.”
Anlian, who founded Nela Media to provide distribution across theatrical, TV networks, Ott/VOD and DVD markets, will also run development and sale of original TV content at Vmi Releasing.

Honestly, I had a really hard time with the online screener of this short, for it's a really huge file. Other than that, watching this fifteen-minute short was such a great pleasure because One Love is a fascinating exploration of what it means to be waiting for a child.
The story briefly follows different people who are either facing the fortune or the misfortune of starting a family.
Lucy (Vanessa Matsui) is a woman who severed her ties with her family. Because her waters have broken, Joe (Jon-Paul Khouri), a bar customer that asked Lucy if she was okay, takes her to the hospital. However, she doesn't the help of "a terrorist". Secondly, Olivia (Polly Shannon) is about to give birth to a child. Besides, Jeff (Josh Kimmel), her husband, is by her sides. Obviously, they're both really happy and are waiting for the baby to finally come out of Olivia's womb.

Looking for DVD news about upcoming creature features starring predators of the sea duking it out, Dmx fighting a giant snake, intergalactic beatnik zombie invaders, and good ol' psycho Sasquatch bloodying up the forest? You've come to the right place today.
We begin with the most important motion picture on the list, possibly the most important motion picture of a generation. I, of course, speak of Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, The Asylum's non-mockbuster blockbuster due May 19th that pits a mega-sized shark against a giant octopus off the coast of California with Lorenzo Lamas and Debbie Gibson caught in the crossfire. This is the very reason we watch cinema in the first place.
Further details can be found in a rather popular article I wrote about Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus back in January. There's really nothing new to add at this time aside from the unfortunate reality that...
