Exclusive: Mma Champion and The A-Team star Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has joined forces with multi-hyphenate Joel Silverman to launch Rampage ‘n J Productions, a new production company that will focus on Silverman’s specialty — biopics, book-to-screen adaptations, and TV dramas, particularly in the area of crime.
Based in West Los Angeles, the company will also focus on launching Jackson’s action comedy film and TV career. Heading development for Rampage ‘n J is VP Kylie Lewis, a former creative exec at DC. During her time there, the USC film school alum worked on the John Cena series Peacemaker and upcoming The Penguin with Colin Farrell for Max.
Silverman explained that he first approached Jackson back in 2018 with the idea of doing an antibullying show for kids called Rampage to the Rescue, in which Jackson and a child psychologist travel to and remedy bullying situations throughout the U.S.

The story follows the third-most-popular girl in school who is secretly dating a troubled loner when the most popular guy is suddenly interested in her. She struggles to choose between them until she is faced with a tragedy that changes her entire perception of high school and the social order.

Oscar Jaenada hit it big last year when he nabbed a role alongside Johnny Depp for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and he’s now finding his way to some larger roles. Variety has just reported that the Spainard will be joining Marcia Gay Harden for the indie drama, The Librarian.
Jaenada will be playing the role of the “wounded lothario” who takes Harden‘s “equally wounded” librarian on an excursion through Costa Rica. Juan Feldman will be making his feature directorial debut for the project, with a script from Joel Silverman. Both have had some experience on various shorts over the years, some of which they have teamed on - Surf School and Death to the Supermodels to name a couple.
Feldman stated the following about the project, “The Librarian is a beautiful tale of a wounded woman a very flawed man who form a sweet and unlikely bond.

Variety is reporting that Oscar-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden has booked a role headlining Juan Feldman's indie drama The Librarian , playing a mild-mannered librarian trying to start a new life for herself while touring Costa Rica. Scripted by Joel Silverman and produced by Classic Films with Mano a Mano Films, the film which involves Harden's character suffering a midlife crisis as she explores Costa Rica with a "lothario and dime-store philosopher" she hired to take her around, will begin shooting in Costa Rica in July. Feldman previously directed the short film "Keepsake" and the play "Accepting the Pale," as well as worked as an assistant director. Former Miami Dophin superstar Dan Marino is training to play a different game: movie producing. He and "Inside the NFL" producer Brian Hyland are pairing up to make a biopic about Brian Stokes, a Marine injured by a roadside bomb while serving in Iraq who went on to not only recover from the wound but playing college football and leading Appalachian State to a national championship at the age of 27. Renovation Thriller Creeps to First Theaters! The 1st Yuma, Arizona feature film collaboration between Rampart Entertainment, Paisaen Productions and Collective Development Inc. had a “work in progress” theatrical test showing in October 2010. A great crowd gathered to watch this suspenseful thriller with a soliddose of scare and gore. The film follows an Ex-Con played by a new genre favorite Anthony Hornus (“Blood Ties”, upcoming “Locked in a Room”) as he's released from prison and goes in search of stolen money from a bank heist many years earlier. The money seems to be hidden in the now empty Hotel Del Sol recently purchased by a group of renovators led by Allen Liarsby played by another genre favorite DJ Perry (“The 8th Plague”, “Gps”). The film also features screen vets Lana Wood ("Book of Ruth, Journey of Faith"), Johnny Dark ("Resurrection”), Fred Griffith ("Dean Teaster's Ghost Town") and Terence Knox ("Tour of Duty") in roles.

Co-creator Bryan Elsley will executive produce the new version, which will be shot in Baltimore with unknown actors, with Company Pictures' Charlie Pattinson and George Faber. Variety reports that FX has picked up drama project "March to Madness" from executive producer Don Cheadle. The series chronicles the glory and the seedy side of college basketball. The project comes from writer Joel Silverman, while Pete Segal ( The Longest Yard ) is set to direct. Also attached to the project alongside Silverman, Segal and Cheadle are former college basketball coach Dave Miller and Segal's producing partner, Michael Ewing. "March" will revolve around a corrupt college basketball program that cheats its way to the "March Madness" Ncaa basketball tournament. The story will be told through the eyes of the college coach, whose idealistic approach to the job has slowly been eroded by the compromises he's forced to make.

Frank Darabont is to finalise a deal to adapt graphic novel series The Walking Dead for TV, it has been reported. The Mist writer and director is partnering up with cable network AMC for the potential project, Variety reports. Darabont and producer Gale Anne Hurd have reportedly pitched the idea to various cable outlets with no studio attached. However, AMC senior vice president Joel Silverman expressed his interest in the zombie-themed series. He said: "We've got an audience that loves this kind of material.
