Elon Musk has subpoenaed Twitter founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey in the lawsuit between the social media platform and the billionaire Tesla founded that once wanted to buy it.
A flurry of subpoenas by both sides have been landing regularly in Delaware Chancery Court ever since a judge, or chancellor as they’re called in the nation’s busiest business tribunal, set an October trial date.
Twitter sued Musk last month after he tore up an agreement he’d made in late April to buy the company for 44 billion, or 54.20 a share, cash. There was a 1 billion breakup fee, but Twitter says that’s only if one party reneges for good cause. Its lawsuit claimed the termination was due to buyer’s remorse, which would not apply. Musk has accused Twitter of under-reporting the number of fake or spam accounts on its site. The Musk camp has filed a counter-suit against Twitter.

Swedish marines in Afghanistan have gone viral after lip-synching to a Grease song.
Shot last year, the video sees the group of soldiers perform 'Greased Lightning', which was sung by John Travolta in the 1978 musical film.
A spokesman for Sweden's Armed Forces emphasised to the Dagens Nyheter newspaper that the video was shot in the marines' spare time.
"It's a professional parody that was made during their free time," Philip Simon stated (via The Local). "This doesn't affect the trust in them in a negative way, on the contrary."
Since it was posted last Friday (January 24), the video has amassed more than 1.4 million views.
Director Boris Zelada said: "We knew it would be big, but not this big.
"We've got so many nice comments and likes. Even the director of the actual 'Greased Lightning' film has commented on our clip, and that's so unbelievably cool for...

Hollywood routinely brings out the star power for San Diego Comi-Con, but its New York counterpart appears to be getting some love too. Check out this adorably awesome animated CG short created by Phillip Simon and Alyse Miller as a thesis project for school. I'd love to see this turned into a movie! The story centers on a little goth girl who summons a demon from hell to kill her annoying blonde nemesis who literally walks all over her. The demon she summons doesn't turn out to be what she expected, in fact it turns out to be a big adorable pink monster from hell. Watch the short to see what happens!

Why Watch? If this is just a thesis project, Phillip Simon and Alyse Miller have an excellent career ahead of them. In this animated short, a goth girl summons up a demon from hell to kill her bubbly blonde nemesis with fire-breathing. What she gets, is the most adorable demon in the Nether Realm. Very cute, very funny, this short is the kind of thing you could see DreamWorks placing before Despicable Me 2 (or even expanding into an entire feature). The short version? It’s pro-level work from a strong group of amateur storytellers. The people demand more. No wonder io9 featured it. Hat tip to them as well. What will it cost you? Only 4 minutes. Skip work. Watch more short films.
