Filmmaker SS Rajamouli has shared a response after Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra asked him to do a film based on Indus Valley Civilisation.
Anand took to Twitter, where he re-shared a post on the ancient cities of the civilisation including Harappa, Mohenjo Daro, Dholavira, Lothal, Kalibangan, Banawali, Rakhigarhi, Surkotada, Chanhu Daro, and Rupar among many others.
Anand Mahindra tweeted, “These are amazing illustrations that bring history alive and spark our imagination. Shoutout to @ssrajamouli to consider a film project based on that era that will create global awareness of that ancient civilisation…”
Reacting to that, Rajamouli replied: “Yes sir… While shooting for Magadheera in Dholavira, I saw a tree so ancient that It turned into a fossil. Thought of a film on the rise and fall of Indus valley civilization, narrated by that tree!! Visited Pakistan few years later. Tried so hard to visit Mohenjodaro. Sadly, was denied permission.

Popular Tollywood actor Raghumudri Sri Hari, better known as Srihari passed away in Mumbai on Wednesday evening. Srihari who was at the time shooting in the city for Prabhu Deva directed ‘R…. Rajkumar’ was reported to have been suffering from liver ailment.
In a career spanning two decades, he starred in over 100 films; few of them as lead actor but it was his character roles that got him acclaim. Telugu romantic-drama ‘Nuvvostanante Nenodantana’ saw him in one of the finest performance by an actor and earned him the Nandi as well as Filmfare awards. As Sher Khan in 2009s blockbuster ‘Magadheera’, his earnest portrayal of a foe-turned-friend garnered audiences’ appreciation and love.

Mumbai, Oct 9: Popular Telugu actor Srihari went from being a stunt master to comedian, villain, lead actor and eventually one of the finest character actors of the Telugu industry.
While he may not have impressed audiences with his acts of buffoonery in the initial years of his career, as a villain and comedian he still resides in people's hearts with his strong character roles in films such as "Dhee", "Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana" and "Magadheera".
"He was one of the best character artists this industry ever had. He was sincere, extremely hardworking and very supportive. I'm extremely upset that he is no more, but I also take the credit for introducing him to the industry through my film," producer Mahendar told Ians.

Chisel a big log of wood in the form of a human being, more or less looking like Ram Charan Teja, and make it wear the khaki uniform. What do we get out of this exercise? Unfortunately, Acp Vijay Khanna, protagonist of "Thoofan", which gives Ram Gopal Varma's remake of "Sholay", a tough competition. Forget fans of the 1973 film "Zanjeer" and even Amitabh Bachchan fans - even for any regular cinema patron, "Thoofan" is like paying money to dig your own grave.
For starters, "Zanjeer" is not a bilingual film as claimed by its makers. Barring scenes involving Sri Hari, the rest.

Last heard, the battle over the remake of the 1973 film Zanjeer had cleared up with the Mumbai High Court giving producer Amit Mehra a green signal. However, now we hear that the Supreme Court has issued a stay order on the film's release. Apparently, the Sc has ordered the arbitrator to complete the arbitration proceedings expeditiously and positively within the next six weeks. This order comes in the wake of Amit's brothers, Sumeet and Puneet, approaching it against the Hc order. For those who are unaware, Mehra's remake had run into trouble when his brothers Sumeet and Puneet terminated the contract that gave him the remake rights in the first place citing non-payment of dues. The Zanjeer remake which features Ram Charan, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt, Sri Hari, Prakash Raj and Mahie Gill was slated for release this June.

Chennai, Jan 4: Telugu director C.S.R. Krishnan says that his forthcoming Telugu action-drama "Bakara" shows how a common man is being tricked and fooled everyday.
"It's sad but true that we get fooled at different junctures in our lives on a daily basis. "Ko Antey Koti", a crime-thriller, which is fairly engaging, unconventional and totally uncanny in its presentation, is definitely one of the best Telugu films of the recent past. But what makes this strikingly different film uninspiring is its borrowed inspiration from the west. Had one watched a bunch of extremely good Hollywood crime-thrillers, then putting together the plot of this film is easy. Heavily inspired from the French film "Rififi", this film.
