- Joan Sweeny is an American actress born in Manhattan, New York. She studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola Marymount University. Joan has acted on stage in Los Angeles and London and in numerous films and TV shows. She is an award-winning Producer and Partner at Red Road Productions. As a Development Executive at Spark Lab she has worked on numerous movies including: Fluorescent Black, Trial by Combat, The Final Moments of Karl Brant and Draken. Joan is a writer and an award winning poet and has been published in numerous literary publications. She is a contributor to Huffington Post. She served on the Board of Governors for the AFI Associates and was Co-Chair of their International Film Series as well as serving on the Membership board of the Actors Studio where she is a lifetime Member.
