Well... we all have to wait until next week to find out who has made it into The X Factor's Top 16.
Fortunately, we were held over with a whole bunch of talent from the Old Geezers and Teens categories. Sure, there were a couple of misses here and there, but like I've said many times already this season, there just seems to be much more talent this year than in 2011.
Let's take a look at who is in good shape to make it through to the live shows, and who might be in danger of heading home. Remember only four can make it through from each category...

1. David Correy: While I still think The X Factor isn't as good of a strategy for finding his birth mom as actually going somewhere to find her, I still love this guy. That was a fantastic audition. He has the extra factor,...

There were moments watching contestants from The X Factor‘s 12-16 age bracket on Thursday night where it felt like somebody was building a three-story log cabin out of saplings. “But they’re so young!” “How are they going to hold up to the pressure?” “Will this lead to a hideous collapse ending in hospitalization?”
But have no fear: Erstwhile Mouseketeer Britney Spears was on the scene to mentor these impressionable young minds on how to navigate the perilous waters of childhood fame — without bumping into the tricky icebergs of quickie marriages, public emotional meltdowns and dubiously conceived forays into celebreality television.

Last night on The X Factor, we finally learned the fates of the 60 contestants who made it to Boot Camp and for over half of them, it wasn’t good news.
This year, The X Factor divided the contestants into four groups, mostly separating them by age. The groups, Teens (13-17), young adults (18-24), 25 and up, and groups, were then brought on the stage one at a time to find out who would be moving on to the next round. After sending a good majority of the singers packing, several were called back onto the stage and given the opportunity to join together and form new groups for the competition, which they, of course, all jumped at.
Below is the breakdown of who made the grade and would be heading to the judges’ homes:
Teens: Beatrice Miller, James Tanner, Carly Rose Soneclar, Diamond White, Reed Deming (Baby Bieber), and Arin...

The X Factor announced its Top 21 this week, put us through some incredibly fake drama before revealing the true Top 24, continued with more faux anger when L.A. Reid was given the Over 25s... and finally concluded with some singing on Wednesday!
This year's categories are different from last season. We have the Young Adults (roughly 18-24), the Over 25s (what I will affectionately refer to as the Old Geezers from here on out), the Groups, and the Teens (17 and under).
Who made it through? Who got the cut?
Young Adults
Cece Frey
Willie Jones
Jennel Garcia
Nick Youngerman - Who?
Paige Thomas
Jillian Jensen - She broke Demi's heart.
Old Geezers
Jason Brock
Daryl Black
David Correy
Tara Simon
Tate Stevens
Vino Alan
Hold the phone! I was questioning the idea of Tate Stevens making the Top 24 Before I knew Jeffrey Gutt was out. How is it possible that that dude didn't make it?...

The judges wasted no time narrowing the competition down to 24 contestants who went on to sing at their luxurious homes. The Oct. 10 episode of The X Factor brought about major changes, including the addution of special guest mentors will.i.am, Nick Jonas, Marc Anthony and — wait for it — Justin Bieber! (I love him, leave me alone.) Let's Break It Down: These were the finalists who made it through: Young Adults: CeCe Frey, Willie Jones, Jennel Garcia, Nick Youngerman, Paige Thomas, Jillian Jensen Over 25's: Jason Brock, Daryl Black, David Correy, Tara Simon, Tate Stevens, Vino Alan Groups: Sister C, Dope Crisis, Emblem 3 Teens: Beatrice Miller, James Tanner, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Diamond White, Reed Deming, Arin Ray Not So Fast: After the finalists were announced and tears started flowing, they brought some people back out to form three brand-new groups. And while I thought they did an awful job of this last year (remember InTENsity?...

And now the real competition begins!
Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell have a better idea what they're in for this season on The X Factor. Following weeks of talent scouting, the foursome learned who they would be mentoring on Wednesday night.

Alongside guest mentor Will.I.Am, Spears was paired with the teens while Lovato received the young adults (17-24 years) with close pal Nick Jonas.
The girls were happy about their assignments, taking to Twitter to express their delight.
"I'm so excited! …It's definitely the year of the teens on @TheXFactorUSA! #Winners #BritneysTeens," posted Spears.
"Young Adults = #dreamteam. You guys are awesome!!!," wrote Demi.
As for the boys, Simon Cowell happily took on the groups with his co-mentor Marc Anthony while L.A. Reid, with pop sensation Justin Bieber, not so cheerfully received the over-25s.
