Good Morning Britain viewers have objected to the claim that outgoing UK prime minister Boris Johnson will be “missed” by the public.
Johnson’s controversial tenure as the nation’s leader is coming to an end after just over three years, with Liz Truss set to take over.
Throughout his time in office, Johnson was criticised for his handling of a number of key issues, including the Covid pandemic and the cost of living crisis. He was also widely condemned for his role in the “Partygate” scandal, which saw him become the first prime minister to have been officially found to have broken the law.
Speaking on Gmb on Tuesday morning (6 September) shortly after Johnson’s farewell address to the nation, journalist Andrew Pearce said: “It’s going to be a dull place without him.”
Presenter Susanna Reid said that she “totally agreed with” him, adding: “Perhaps it is what we need.

If you've read my retrospective interviews on the series or heard me rave about it on our high school-themed episode of Corpse Club, then you know that I absolutely adore the Crowley High kids who for two years were "fighting evil with mixed results" on the TV series Todd & The Book of Pure Evil. Years after the show was prematurely canceled, the cast and crew of the cult series are reuniting for one more blood-spattered ride in the animated film Todd & The Book of Pure Evil: The End of the End, and Raven Banner has revealed the official trailer for the film ahead of its release this fall.

Raven Banner Entertainment will release the animated film Todd & The Book of Pure Evil: The End of the End. This follow-up to the television series will show in Toronto, in early September. Here, it will have its World Premiere. The film is an assortment of gore gags and Satanic sing-a-longs. A truly crazed experience, this title brings back some familiar names including: Alex House, Maggie Castle, Bill Turnbull and Jason Mewes. Todd & The Book of Pure Evil: The End of the End will also have a home entertainment launch this December. The latest release details are hosted here. To build on the story, Todd, Jenny and Curtis grieve over the loss of their friend Hannah (Melanie Leishman). Her death might have been caused by a familiar cursed book. Bill Turnbull said an emotional goodbye to 'BBC Breakfast' this morning (26.02.16) following 15 years on the show. The 60-year-old host, who announced his departure last year, was visibly moved when he sat on the red sofa today to present his final ever episode of the news programme. Just minutes before he left the screen, he said his final goodbye to the public in a heartfelt speech, saying: ''I have always believed it is a privilege to broadcast anywhere on the airwaves, but to present this programme has been a special one. You still know nothing, Jon Snow. In an interview with BBC Breakfast on Tuesday, Kit Harington once again confused fans about the fate of his “Game of Thrones” character, Jon Snow. “I think anyone who wants to know what happens in season 6 has to wait until it comes out,” the actor told host Bill Turnbull. “All I can tell you is Jon Snow is dead. He died at the end of last season.” See Video: Jon Snow's Return Teased in 'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Trailer However, that piece of information was not enough for Turnbull — or for us — so.

Though it was prematurely cancelled in 2012, the horror comedy TV series Todd & The Book of Pure Evil has lived on through the memories of its loyal fan base, been discovered by a new audience on home media, and will return in an animated film in the near future. Last fall, I had the great pleasure of speaking with the series' co-creators and main cast, who looked back on fighting evil... with mixed results.
In this second part of Daily Dead's retrospective on Todd & The Book of Pure Evil, Alex House (Todd Smith), Maggie Castle (Jenny Kolinsky), Bill Turnbull (Curtis Weaver), Melanie Leishman (Hannah B. Williams), Shawn Pierce (music composer), and series co-creator Craig David Wallace discuss their time on the truly unique series that showed the humor, horror, and often blood-soaked trials and tribulations of high school.

[Originally appeared in the January 2015 issue of Deadly Magazine] Think back to your worst memory of high school. If it doesn’t involve a giant bone-crushing baby, rock and roll zombies, or a Satanic guidance counselor, then you didn’t go to Crowley High, the setting for the beloved TV series Todd & The Book of Pure Evil.
Comprised of two seasons that originally aired from 2010–2012 on Canada’s Space network, Todd & The Book of Pure Evil follows Todd Smith, a heavy metal-loving high school stoner who, along with his best friend Curtis, major crush (and strongly independent) Jenny, and the brilliant Hannah, is forced to face the monsters and evil powers unleashed by The Book of Pure Evil.
The twisted tome (believed to be bound in the foreskin of Judas) can be found by the tormented, the humiliated, and the depressed—making high school its perfect home. For 26 episodes, Todd and his friends (collectively known as “the Gang”) hunt...

Susanna Reid and David Beckham. It's happened before and, since his most recent appearance on the couch, viewers have suggested that she's been flirting with him again (to be fair, he was the one to say she was wearing an "amazing" dress).
Susanna's actually said before that she hates being called a flirt, and fair enough. But there are plenty of other reasons to love her:
1. She is a proper fan girl
Witness her interview with Luke Evans, when she asked what it was like biting people (for a vampire film, obviously) and he offered to demonstrate. Giggles and 'I can't believe this is my life' looks - we totally relate. How refreshing to see someone completely and utterly failing to play it cool.
2. She bloody loves a fart joke
After a suspicious rasp from Richard Arnold, Susanna gets the giggles so badly she can barely say her next link.

This Morning users thought they saw Eamonn Holmes telling a producer where to stick it today (July 23).
The veteran presenter appeared to flick the 'V' sign at a producer offscreen during a segment on ITV, a gesture that seemingly went unnoticed by his guests and wife Ruth Langsford.
Sadly, the incident was apparently just Holmes engaging in some technical speak with his producers, and he just happened to have a grumpy face on, or so he says.
He explained: "Apparently because of the way the interview was shot, you picked up on a bit of studio language going on, and apparently people mistaking and not understanding... technical jargon.
"And me doing this [gestures with two fingers], that means camera two, and this means two [people] on a two, just to put you out of your misery if you're wondering and thought it was something more Harvey Smith inclined... and we've now got two on a [camera] four.

Goodbye Daybreak. Good morning, erm, Good Morning Britain.
ITV's latest attempt to revive their breakfast schedules and make a dent in the ratings of their fierce rivals at BBC Breakfast comes in the shape of four familiar faces from morning television.
Sky's Sean Fletcher and Charlotte Hawkins, former GMTV host and all round good egg Ben Shephard and the star attraction, who ITV no doubt hope is the jewel in their crown, Susanna Reid.
Poached from the BBC and fresh from a successful run on Strictly Come Dancing, ITV are hoping she's the perfect mix of sharp journalism and warm presenting. Just don't say the words Christine or Bleakley.
Will Good Morning Britain be ITV breakfast's biggest hit since Roland Rat? Or have we got another Daybreak disaster on our hands?
From 6am on Monday (April 28) morning we'll be live-blogging the launch and trying to avoid dropping ketchup from our bacon sandwich on our keyboard.

Rachel Riley has told Digital Spy that there is "no truth" in rumours she is being courted to replace Susanna Reid on BBC Breakfast, commenting that she couldn't handle all the early starts.
The Countdown favourite was reportedly being lined up to join Bill Turnbull on the programme after her Strictly Come Dancing co-star Reid defected to ITV's upcoming Good Morning Britain.
However, Riley told DS that she believes herself to be so unsuitable for the role that her friends "laughed their heads off" when the story first appeared.
"There's no truth in that, I'm not sure where that's come from," she said of the BBC Breakfast rumours.
"I had quite a few messages from friends that just laughed their heads off at the thought of me doing anything that early in the morning. No, there's no truth in that.

When asked by Bill Turnbull if "it's about an East End boy who makes good and then eats organic food and stuff", Flanagan confirmed: "Yes, and then occasionally pops to KFC for a treat."
Flanagan turned to comedy at the age of 34 in 1996, eventually being nominated for an Edinburgh Comedy Award 11 years later.

The son of former Beatles member Paul McCartney is stepping out of his father's famous shadow and has released his first full album. To promote the album, James McCartney is doing a string of concerts across Europe and the United States, along with a bit of press.
He stopped by "BBC Breakfast," giving an interview that's being described by some on Twitter as "hideous" and a "car crash." How could a simple interview go so wrong? It turns out McCartney doesn't have a lot to say, and when he does it makes little sense.
When the interviewer, Bill Turnbull, comments that McCartney's last U.S. tour sounded tiring, James replies, "Yeah." When Turnbull presses on, asking if it actually was tiring, McCartney offers, "No, it was okay. It was good fun."

James McCartney may need to practice his interviewing skills. The 35-year-old son of music icon Sir Paul McCartney appeared on the TV show BBC Breakfast to promote his new album Me, and some viewers found it hard to watch. So hard, in fact, that people reportedly deemed the entire segment as "excruciating." Hosts Bill Turnbull and Susanna Reid did the majority of the talking, attempting to come up with follow-up questions and new topics to discuss in response to McCartney's brief, low-key and at-times deadpan answers (when he didn't just reply with a "mmm").
