He was considered for the role of "Doc" in Walt Disney's Snow White
(1937). Roy Atwell was chosen to supply the voice instead.
Enlisted as a private in the U.S. Army on 10 May 1943 in Los Angeles.
Discharged as a sergeant on 3 October 1945. Buried (as Escott B. Boyes)
at Los Angeles National Cemetery on 7 January 1981.
As a child he was known by his middle name, Brandon.
