- Andrés Useche is an award-winning Colombian American writer, film director, composer and singer-songwriter. Andres was born in Manizales, Colombia where he published his first political cartoon, "Soy Libre", at age 11. In high school he won an award from the Colombian Ministry of Culture for his first graphic novel. Upon high school graduation Useche composed a quintet performed by the state chamber orchestra which led to scoring documentaries and writing, directing and scoring his first film while attending college. The film won several awards and after graduating from the Colombian university with a degree in Visual design with emphasis in film, Andres moved to Los Angeles to work as a screenwriter, eventually becoming a United States citizen. Aside from his work as director and producer Andres Useche became involved in supporting Barack Obama's 2008 bid for the presidency, doing Latino outreach through performances, writing songs and making music videos.
