Life without Patrick Swayze hasn't been the same since his unfortunate death from pancreatic cancer in 2009. But now, his close friends are sharing memories from the late actor's amazing life on the ninth anniversary of his death. His one close friend and former bodyguard, Frank Whiteley, opened up about the Dirty Dancing star's exuberant attitude by telling the story of how when they were driving down a California highway at 65 mph and he turned back to learn that Patrick. whom he called "Buddy," disappeared. "I looked in the rearview mirror to see if he crawled over the seat," Frank told Closer. "He wasn’t in the vehicle. I look out and see a shadow on the ground and people [watching] in awe. He was standing on top of the Suburban with his arms out, doing the Titanic pose! He’s yelling at me to keep it at the same speed." Too funny!

Imagine the following sentence in the “'80s horror trailer guy” voice. In 1982, a killer haunted the halls of Crippen High School, giving it the moniker “Horror High.” Now, in 1987, a movie crew returns to Horror High and may or may not survive retelling the story of these heinous crimes. There will be blood! Lots and lots of blood!
It's been a very long time since I've seen Bill Froehlich's Return to Horror High, starring Brendan Hughes, Scott Jacoby, George Clooney, Maureen McCormick, Lori Lethin, Alex Rocco, Vince Edwards, Al Fann, and Panchito Gómez. So, I was absolutely delighted to get the chance to re-watch this glorious horror comedy and discuss it with our readers as part of our celebration of the Class of 1987.
After decades of horror films that were wonderfully serious, a tonal shift started happening in the 1980s, and by the mid-'80s, horror comedies had really gained momentum,...

Disney continues its Blu-ray releases of the animated movies from their 1990s "Renaissance" with Pocahontas and its sequel, Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World, thrown in for fun. The three-disc collection features the two films on one Blu-ray and individually on two DVDs. Both are quality projects but look completely different in comparison to each other. Each received a nice facelift and restoration to make them look better than they ever have before.
Pocahontas shows us how the young Native American Princess meets Englishman John Smith. The two engage in a romantic relationship which brings to mind Romeo and Juliet. Her Indian tribe and his group of settlers clash over the land with tragic consequences.
This was the first Disney movie based on an actual historical figure. It does a great job of keeping true to the spirit of the actual incidences it's based on. That's not to say...
