“Ahsoka” Season 2 is in development with creator Dave Filoni, Lucasfilm has confirmed.
The news came with the reveal of the new “Star Wars” film “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” directed by Jon Favreau, which was unveiled Tuesday morning.
“‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ will lead Lucasfilm’s ongoing feature-development slate, including films helmed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, and Dave Filoni, who is also currently developing ‘Ahsoka’ Season 2, among those in the works,” the announcement said.
“Ahsoka,” which aired its Season 1 finale on Oct. 3, starred Rosario Dawson as the fan-favorite Jedi, who’s trying to save the galaxy from Grand Admiral Thrawn, a new threat after the fall of the Galactic Empire. Dawson first brought Ahsoka Tano to live-action in “The Mandalorian” Season 2 and also appeared on “The Book of Boba Fett.”

Disney+’s new lengthy trailer for Star Wars: Ahsoka provides our first look at a live-action Thrawn. Lars Mikkelsen provided the character’s voice in the animated Star War Rebels series and reprises his role in the latest addition to the Star Wars franchise.
In an interview with EW, Mikkelsen offered a short description of Thrawn.
“He’s a top strategist,” said Mikkelsen. “He’s always seven paces ahead of anybody else. And ruthless, of course. But only when it’s needed, actually. I think he thrives also with the creativity of the surroundings. I mean, he’s not using people in a bad way. He’s using their creativity to reach his goals.”
Rosario Dawson leads the cast in the titular role. The series also stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, and Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati.

Disney+ has released a new trailer for the upcoming “Star Wars” series, “Ahsoka,” providing fans a look at the series’ villain, Grand Admiral Thrawn.
It was announced in April at the Star Wars Celebration fan convention, that Lars Mikkelsen would be set to reprise his role as the “Star Wars” villain and embody the character in the live-action series. Thrawn was originally created by author Timothy Zahn as part of a series of 1990s Star Wars novels chronicling the events following 1983’s “Return of the Jedi,” and he quickly became a fan-favorite character.
However, after Disney purchased Lucasfilm in 2012, Thrawn’s character was removed from the official “Star Wars” canon. Then in 2016, Dave Filoni revived the character and brought him back into a galaxy far, far away after adding him to the “Star Wars Rebels” animated series. Throughout the show, Mikkelsen voiced the character.

Disney+ hasn't had a great year.
Several shows have been delayed.
The reaction to The Mandalorian and Secret Invasion hasn't been as strong as expected.
Could Star Wars: Ahsoka be the project that moves the needle in the right direction for the streaming service?
If the official trailer is any indication, it could be one of the better shows to premiere this year.
It's no secret that fans of franchises are getting tired of the output of certain content, but Ahsoka has the benefit of being centered on a character fans like.
Rosario Dawson is, once again, taking on the role after her portrayal of the Jedi on both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.
As previously reported, Star Wars: Ahsoka will receive its highly-anticipated debut on Disney+ territories worldwide on August 23.

“Star Wars: Ahsoka,” the latest series in Disney+’s ever-expanding “Star Wars” empire, has been given an August 23 release date and a teaser. The TV spot, which is available to watch now, will air on Wednesday during the NBA Finals’ Game 3.
The footage featured in the commercial was first revealed at Star Wars Celebration in April and a trailer that followed. But what’s odd about this TV spot is what it excludes — the teaser that was shown during Celebration also included revelation of Thrawn’s face, which was only shown in-house. Also, the original teaser showed several scenes of the Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll.
Stevenson, who passed in May, had previously spoken to TheWrap about his excitement about joining the project, saying, “you pinch yourself.” Despite the late actor’s enthusiasm for the project, he does not appear in this first TV spot.

The first trailer for the new “Star Wars” series starring Rosario Dawson, “Ahsoka,” was unveiled at Star Wars Celebration in London on Friday, and unlike the footage shown from “The Acolyte” and “Skeleton Crew,” this one’s actually online for all to see.
Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano made her live-action “Star Wars” debut in the second season of “The Mandalorian,” but was originally introduced in the animated “Clone Wars” and “Rebels” series. Wielding double lightsabers, she quickly became a fan favorite. Before joining up with Luke Skywalker and Grogu in “The Mandalorian,” the former Jedi Knight was a protégé of Anakin Skywalker prior to him turning to the Dark Side.

Before David Koresh, there was Lois Roden, the wife of Benjamin Roden, president and founder of the Branch Davidian Seventh-day Adventist Church. Lois comes up briefly in the Netflix documentary series Waco: American Apocalypse. Here’s everything you need to know about the former leader of the Branch Davidians before Koresh took over the apocalyptic Christian group.

According to the Texas State Historical Association, Victor T. Houteff established the Davidians, a small Adventist reform movement. A Bulgarian immigrant, Houteff left the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and accepted Seventh-day Adventist teaching in 1918, starting the Davidians in 1929. In 1955, Benjamin organized the Branch Davidians, a group focused on preparing for the second coming of Christ.
When Benjamin died in 1978, his wife, Lois, assumed leadership. She shifted her teachings to focus on the female character of the Holy Spirit and ordination for women.

London, March 3 (Ians) British researchers are developing a novel technology based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) that will pick donor organs for transplant on a much better level than humans, the media reported.
The new technology known as OrQA — Organ Quality Assessment — uses AI and its “memory” of tens of thousands of images of donor organs to identify the ones that offer the best chance of success during transplant, the Evening Standard reported.
Currently, doctors physically examine the organs that have the best chance of a success during transplant.
The OrQA assessment will majorly look for damage, pre-existing conditions and how well blood has been flushed out of the organ.
The technology, once rolled out, can result in up to 200 more patients receiving kidney transplants and 100 more receiving liver transplants every year in the UK, according to researchers, which include from the University of Oxford.

To many casual "The Mandalorian" fans, he's "Baby Yoda." To the die-hards, his canonical name is "Grogu." In the "Star Wars" fandom, some have affectionately nicknamed him "Yodito." He goes by many names, but his adorable, bug-eyed face is widely loved by all kinds of fans. Grogu's first appearance in the pilot episode of "The Mandalorian" was a shockingly well-kept secret that quickly took over the internet.
Conceptually, Grogu is a stroke of merchandising genius. Let's take one of the most recognizable characters in the entire franchise, then make an adorable baby version for an even broader appeal. There is still no canon name for the ancient species Grogu or Yoda (and the lesser-known Yaddle) are members of, so there's a genuine air of mystique looking past his superficial cuteness.

One of Disney+’s biggest hits right out of the gate is the Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. It was the big launch title when the streaming service made its debut back in November of 2019. It's a comfort to know that even before "The Last of Us" closes out its debut season, we will already have plenty more of Pedro Pascal locked, loaded, and carting around his other surrogate child as Din Djarin in "The Mandalorian." The hype for season 3 is very real and in case you ever doubt it, just check out the newest featurette from Disney+, featuring multiple crowds of "Star Wars" fans pumping their fists, waving their lightsabers, and cheering on the announcement of an incoming season. It may have taken three years to return, but the excitement for Mando and Grogu is still as explosive as ever.

Season two followed in late 2020. The series has spawned multiple spinoffs, including 2022’s The Book of Boba Fett, and the upcoming Rosario Dawson-led series, Ahsoka.
According to the logline for season three, “The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

Mando and Grogu are ready to embark on a new adventure. Disney has released the official trailer for Season 3 of “The Mandalorian,” which will debut on its streamer Disney+ on March 1.
The new footage shows Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and budding Jedi warrior Grogu, a.k.a. Baby Yoda, journeying across a galaxy far, far away, facing threats from Mandalorian home planet Mandalore and the bustling urban planet Coruscant. The trailer also shows off a group of Jedi warriors wielding lightsabers, a pair of cackling Anzellan creatures and Grogu showing off some Force powers.
The third season will take place following the events of “The Book of Boba Fett,” in which Din Djarin was last seen reuniting with the training Jedi warrior Grogu. The two were heading to planet Mandalore to restore Din Djarin’s honor. In a teaser released in September, Mando faces off against several armored warriors in their homeworld.

In the official trailer for Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian season three we see Baby Yoda…I know his name’s Grogu but he’ll always be Baby Yoda to me…and his adopted dad heading off on new adventures. The Book of Boba Fett‘s best episodes included the little green dude, and by the end of that miniseries, Baby Yoda had chosen Mando over continuing his Jedi training, setting up the plot for season three.
The upcoming season’s trailer reveals Mando’s been booted from the Mandalorian and is anxious to prove he’s still worthy. The trailer teases lots of action, lots of bonding scenes between Baby Yoda and Mando, and the return of Bo-Katan.
Pedro Pascal returns to lead the cast in the title role. Katee Sackhoff reprises her role as Bo-Katan, Amy Sedaris is back as the scene-stealing Peli Motto, Giancarlo Esposito returns as Moff Gideon,...
