Robert Anton Wilson was born on January 18, 1932 in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer and actor, known for Schrödinger's Cat Trilogy, The Illuminatus! Trilogy and Wilhelm Reich in Hell (2005). He was married to Arlen Riley. He died on January 11, 2007 in Capitola, California, USA.
He studied engineering and mathematics at Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute and New York University.
His third daughter was murdered in 1976 in a robbery.
Wrote the first of three volumes of his autobiography "Cosmic Trigger" in 1977 which included his witnessing of extra-terrestrials while under the influence of heavy drugs.
Wrote three novels: "The Eye in the Pyramid", "The Golden Apple" and
"Leviathan", which comprised the "Illuminatus! Trilogy" with Robert Shea.
Worked as a copywriter becoming an associate editor of Playboy
Magazine from 1965 to 1971.
